    Landing would imply there was a controlled vehicle involved and that would really be big news .

    Anyway meteors are fascinating especially when they are small.Big ones result in extinctions :pointlol:

    Impacting is a very accurate description however.

    I sure hope they find the impact crater.....(I hope it hit land and not water)!

    And yet what do we do to prevent this possibility? We spend untold billions on the space station, aging shuttle fleets, freaking moonbases and mars rovers, yet the most important aspect of space (defense) is being largely ignored.
    Whats the plan should something appear in our solar system and heads for possible impact? Pray? Call Bruce Willis? Hope a nuke will work? IMO we should have a viable defense plan for this eventuality before we start building moonbases for posterities sake.
