Dolphins 24 Panthers 21. Remember the Seattle game last year guys? The Phins typically do well against us NFC teams. I think you guys got this. If I am wrong you can give me a beating lol.
We seem to typically do well against west coast teams coming to Miami, but Carolina is east coast as well. The thing that might work for us is perhaps Carolina having a "letdown" game after the big win last week. Shame they don't play the Saints next week or it could be a combo "letdown" from the week before and "look ahead" to the next. It's a winnable game if we can keep their running game from pounding us and we make a few plays, but after the last few weeks that is an iffy proposition.
Sometimes we forget that performance in the NFL is fleeting. The Bucs lose a bunch of close games all year. Then they nearly beat the Seahawks in their "House of Horrors", then they beat us with a long drive where they passed one time and then they clobber the Falcons. So I wouldn't categorize the Bucs as "crappy." Their record certainly is though.
I just think we're a bad matchup with the Panthers and their defense should feast on our O-Line and RB's. However, the Panthers are coming off a huge emotional win at home. They play the Saints in two weeks. So maybe they have a down game, which happens in the NFL. Steve Smith vs. Brent Grimes will be an interesting matchup. I'm sure they're familiar with each other from the NFC South. Also...Ted Ginn Jr returns!
Philip Rivers ran for a 1st down on us. I can see us getting steamrolled. Our offense would have to play lights out. I see the Panthers as scoring at will against us really. EDIT: Calling a Ginn return TD as well.
I think the league and twitterverse are over-hyping the Panthers right now. They scored 10 on the 9ers and laid 24 on the Patriots. It's not as if they are dropping 35 on everybody. As for our o-line, you can't compare it to earlier in the year as most of the players are different. McKinnie has solidified the LT position, Brenner and Garner weren't out of place at LG and C, Jerry...no comment and Clabo has been much improved since his benching. Again people are reading volume stats and making determinations.
I think you guys can make it close but don't walk around think anything is for certain. No offense but we are better in every aspect of the game You guys are dangerous though, solid defense and play makers on both sides of the ball though
Your Dolphins haven't even dropped 30 this season yet. Where do you get off talking about who we've dropped 30 on?
You're missing the point. People in the national media are predicting a blowout when neither team appears capable of it. Say what you will about your team's recent wins but 10-9 and 24-20 (on a historically bad blown call) does not indicate to me that your team is primed to roll into South Florida and blow us out of the water. Per usual, if you guys win, you'll be back for a day to gloat and then never to be seen again. Of course if we win, we'll never see or hear from you again.
In football, no one is going to overlook anyone but the national media. Has anyone even predicted anything for the Dolphins game anyway? I have seen very little coverage for this game due to two teams that no one in the media cares about.
Just BR, Mad Dog and some ESPN. We're used to being picked to lose so it's no problem here. As for teams looking past teams, it indeed does happen and usually in the spot the Panthers are in right now - with two big wins and big showdown with NO the following week. Happened to us all the time in the early 2000's when our players started to believe their press clippings.
Maybe because its a message board and people have opinions.............................and oh yeah that freedom of speech thingy. Kind of allows you to say what you like within certain limits.
Cutler and Dalton were free agents. I went for Dalton. Man Matt Ryan has sucked for me this season. Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk
Young ? I wish. I know exactly where its from, it just cracked me up because it was fitting to the thread and perfect timimg. : )
You didn't end your post with: "...and don't call me Shirley." You scored 0 points. In the game to win the internet, you are losing.
outside of those 2 games.....they have 7 of their last 8 and dropped 30 on the other 6. and in fairness, the NE games was better offense than in some of those 30 plus games. Carolina only had 6 real offensive drives against NE....scored on 4 of those. THAT....is great scoring.
Who was blowing out seattle the previous week for awhile, and crushed the raiders last week. Someone lit a fire under their *** or something. Figures we got them right after it happened.
