Ok I understand espn is all about stirring up controversy and all but I am miami dolphins fan and will remain a dolphins fan but that doesnt mean i cant sound off on certain aspects of football.
Ist we dolphin fans get treated like crap from espn. the Peyton Manning thing they were celebrating him going to Denver and Arizona so they have their fans doing promos. but not dolphins fans. when bad things happen to other teams have you ever noticed that the announcers and the media say i feel bad for the fans ie Detroit , Jaxksonvile Jets Pats and Bills yet they never say anthing about Miami fans .
I had thought that espn was to be a sports network. the disrespect thing is getting worse so if i have to try to listen to a florida network for miami dolphins news what stations are the best ?
not one media person said miami would be a better team if we land Peyton.
back in2000 the dolphins had good exposure but now its so anti dolphins its like we have become the LA Clippers of old.
this one dude who sort of does scouting and stuff always talks about the jets, bills and patriots but never the dolphins so Miami needto go independent since its invisible to the media.
MY Solution is to from a new network nationwide and find way to hire former dolphin players . next is to get some more weapons on offense and win the division. change theuniforms , change the mindset and get the front office into making better decisions.
we all can bet money if we win the afc east the media will down play our success with some excuse.
finniialy what else can miami do to get out of this joke of the league syndrome we are stuck in ?

Chill Bruh, this is how the sports media does things, and why I have ESPN no where on, not TV/Net/Radio..not until there is some information that is reliable.

Aquafin, life is way to short to get worked up because the sports networks don't give you confirmation on everything dolphins related. the real question is: why does this bother you so much? Like your last (and only sensible) statement says - we win, we get respect. we continue 20 years of mediocrity, why the hell would they bother talking about us?
[EDIT] and there is a rant forum for this kind of stuff. doesn't need to be a thread in the mainsSleepy and PhinGeneral like this. -

I will copy paste a post of mine that is relevant to this.....
------------
You have to remember.......
New York, Chicago, Boston....... these cities have been around for 100+ years. They are well represented in the national media because so many reporters are from there.
Miami? We only came to prominence in the 70's? maybe 80's? Most of our population is transplants from Cuba and other states..... we don't have many homegrown talent mixed into the media web, all the talking heads on ESPN and other places.
So of course, we are hated....Aquafin likes this. -

To the national media and ESPN, the Dolphins are damned if they do or damned if they don't. It's not right, but we shouldn't let it bother us because that is just the way it is.
As for Payton, if all he can manage is a phone call to Philbin after spending over 6 hours in Denver, then to heck with him because he doesn't really want to play for the Phins. He is just using us just like the others have recently. It's time for our front office to have a little respect for themselves and and start acting like the quality organization we are instead of acting out of desperation like some crack whore looking for her next fix.
Steve :)
Update: Looks like Payton is gonna meet with Philbin at an undisclosed local away from team facilities. To me, that's cool as long as he is sincere; however, if it looks like he is just going through the motions to jack up his salary, then we should cut it short and move on. I am beginning to think Payton may be more trouble than he is worth considering his salary demands and his injury history. -

I think it was M Wiley who said not only was Miami the most likely spot for PM but the best as well....I also see ur point and to my recollection Wiley is the only one.

thanks guys . you guys are right we are entry port for people coming into the country and we are where other fans migrate to.
Ithink this bothers me because this part of the counntry used to have several dolphin fans and they used to be vocal with the local radio shows but now its al patriots ,jets and bills so i gues what i am saying is since i am isolated Iwanted to hear more fins related stuff.
there are sources for me to vent but I think its the fact I am addicted to sports news or somethng but i will chill out -

Im from the UK and ive been a Phin fan since 1985. I dont get where all the negativity with my team has come from regarding the US press. U.S Media guys regarding quotes and tweets are a joke. Is it Miami in general or just our Dolphins? I seriously hope Manning chooses Miami. Then i get to Email those divvies we call journalists.

It is North East Bias at it's worst. -
It starts with Berman. His hate for Miami is well known. He keeps Miami off the pregame as much as possible, and he glosses over highlights like they don't exist. It is a trickle diwn effect from there.

They just had the Titans fans give their pitch. LOL
