For some reason the term "South Beach Offense" puts the expression "where the white women at?" into my head.
Dear God NO!!!!! It isn't cute, it isn't original....and will probably be turned into a snide remark about the offense once it struggles or shows weakness a la South *****3s Offense or what have you
Oh yeah the SBO. Isnt that the one where the receivers always get open but drop the ball? I kid I kid
How about we use the East Coast offense with 4 wr sets or a three tightend s a rb and 1 wr pakage and there it is the east coast offense.
I think we will have a good feel for how Philbin will do very quickly, recall in those Walsh Qbing videos Walsh's teaching style? He did not care about Joe Montana being Montana, he just expected him to execute what he asked him to do perfectly I hope Philbin has the same approach and Authority.
Gulf Coast Offense; FAMU ran this offense under Coach Billy Joe. I tend to think "Gulf Coast" is more of a Tampa to Pensacola identity. BTW:Billy Joe 1963 AFL Rookie of the Year, Miami Dolphins FB 1966 I do like the "South Beach Offense" especially if it has a lot of wiggle..
I like it. I can see the national media taking credit for it if T-hill turns it into an explosive offense in a couple years. It only makes sense. I'm sure someone at ESPN will take credit for starting it. Get it trademarked while you can!
Personally, I don't like the term, I hate the whole south beach reference when it comes to our sports..Its Miami man.
well, I'm sure our new & improved South Beach Offense will serve the franchise well just looking forward to the return of the Orca-Five winning the trenches for our South Beach Offense
Aw... why not just call it the 'P.P.O." - the "Philbin 'Phins Offense." Besides that, every network nimnode from Orlando to Seattle will call it some version of the WCO anyway.
