You are setting yourself up for disappointment. We have NO CHANCE WHATSOEVER at Andrew Luck.
Tune in tonight to watch a franchise guarantee themselves almost 30 straight years of good quarterback play. -
I am jealous that Colts fans got to see Peyton Manning and then follow him with the best QB prospect since......Peyton Manning. It almost doesn't seem fair.
It is why I think a Lottery system for the top 5 picks is needed for the NFL draft. Too easy to tank.Sceeto likes this. -
oh..and it gets better...if Peyton can play still..Luck gets to learn for a year or two under Peyton Manning. It is just unreal.

And, there in lies the rub and Polian's problem. In other words, if he waits until Peyton's close to retirement, or worse yet...in the event he's forced to retire, they may not be ready with a replacement QB when he does step down. And, if they draft a QB the caliber of Luck, Peyton's potentially gonna be looking over his shoulder if his play starts to decline. And Luck is gonna be chomping at the bit to get his chance to play. It could be a repeat of what went down in GB a few years ago when their FO had to decide between Favre and Rodgers. Of course, that worked out just fine for GB, but it didn't change the fact that they basically forced an icon and the face of the franchise out of town at the time. I just don't see Indy doing the same thing with Peyton.
Having said that, if Indy has the #1 overall pick next year, I think it's a pretty safe bet they take Luck. Which brings us right back to what you said..."it is just unreal." -
I think the only question for Indy is how confident they are in Peyton's recovery. If let's say every doctor tells you that he is fine and that he can play indefinitely, do you take Luck, a player who will not help you right away, or do you take Matt Kalil or Juston Blackmon and try and squeeze out another SB or two under Manning?
It's not a cut and dry decision. -

That's what she said -
well depite what everybody else thinks I would be very excited to get Brandon Weeden and then focus all our attention on defensive end, and d tackle and use the later rd picks on oline or defensive backs.
here iw why Weeden is my choice , first he is mature , he has a quick release , and a cannon of a arm which he really is a cross between Marino and Greise.
I know people may not like him after the 1st half of the a&m game but the guy rebounds and that is something our qbs cant do .
Landry Jones is a very good qb i would not be pissed if we drafted him .
i just hope we dont waste another first rd pick on a damn offensive linemen when other teams have gotten better olinemen then we did in the later rounds of the draft. -

Indy should draft Luck and trade Peyton. They would likely get more compensation for Manning.
-
A team that has a small window to get it done, will gladly toss a 2nd round pick or maybe even a 1st rounder the Colts way.
In fact...I could see the Jets just tossing up their hands and saying..you know what? Mark Sanchez sucks, here, have a 2nd rounder for Peyton.Clark Kent likes this. -
Sorry Section126, Indy did not look like a team in the Luck sweepstakes last night. They played hard. Damn hard.
You might think there's some big Indy tanking conspiracy spearheaded by Polian, but nobody told the players on the field. Indy might end up with a pick in the top 5, but they're too talented to be in the mix for Luck. -
Tampa Bay was trying to lose, and Indy still couldn't pull it off. Indy was in Pre-season mode with as many players as they played last night.
They are a LOCK for Luck. They go 2-14 and get him. We go 6-10 and get a New Starting Right Guard.Stringer Bell likes this. -
Section, you certainly stick to your guns, even when you're wrong.
Tampa was trying to lose? Huh? Yes, they were playing a soft zone, but that's silly to "blame" Indy's good play on Tampa. Obviously, Tampa's coaches thought that they couldn't match up on-on-one with all of Indy's offensive firepower, so they tried to keep everything in front of them. Just because Section126 doesn't agree with their defensive strategy doesn't mean they were trying to lose!
Indy has some excellent talent and will win ballgames. Not getting Luck. -
and I am not wrong. It is MY OPINION. Just like your opinion is that Indy is so talented that they go from Super Bowl contenders to Suck for Luck contenders while missing ONE guy. Yep. It takes talent to do that. -
-
BTW, Opinions are not wrong..when they are plausible. I would say that 0-4 so far makes my opinion of the Colts being the winner of the suck for luck sweepstakes rather plausible.

I don't see how can the Dolphins win 6 games this season.
-
You are right. Opinions are not right or wrong.
You just end up looking silly when you claim that the Colts are a lock to get Luck and then they almost win a road game against a good Bucs team. When faced with the reality that the Colts played well, you double down and blame it on the Bucs "trying to lose". -
If it was reality that the Colts played well..then it was also reality that the Bucs played bad. See how that works? Thus the "trying to lose" comment.
Do you follow now? Want me to send you a power point presentation? -
The Bucs did this:
Blew a coverage that led to the first Garcon TD.
Dropped 3 INT's including a pick 6.
Committed the most penalties of any team this season. (14)
Allowed three 3rd down conversions of more than 15 yards.
That concludes my power point presentation of my "Bucs trying to lose" comment. -
You want me to give it a rest and then you double post? The Bucs were not "trying to lose". THE END.
-
Colts are a bad team, if Henne is out we may be just as bad. Colts, Dolphins and chiefs are in this race without a doubt.Section126 likes this. -

If we lose at home to Denver we have a great chance at 2-14 the wich imo gets u #1 overall.
