Shhhhhh.
Cool, we could go 8-8 and still get the #1 pick in the draft if this keeps up.Moves, CWBIII, MonstBlitz and 17 others like this. -
Oh god the entire article gave me infectious disease I think. Ryan is VERY accurate within the pocket and I've been blown away by his ball placement ability several times in his first two starts. The idea that we took him solely based on his athletic ability sickens me. Anyone who has watched any tape on him can see he is a passing QB with a beautiful release point who just happens to be athletic as well.

I have realized that the so called experts on NFL network and the analysts doing the games, whether it is for CBS, Fox, NBC, ESPN, or NFLN really have no idea what they are talking about most of the time. Most of what they say is cliche. It is beyond obvious that they really do study the teams or analyze the statistics of each team.
Take for instance the Washington Redskins game against the Saints. The "experts" on the major networks will tell you that Mike Shanahan scripted some quick, easy passes to get RGIII into a rythm. The reality of the situation is that Shanahan actually brought some of Art Briles's playbook with him and installed packaged plays that gave the quarterback several options based on what the defense was doing post snap.
If you want a great overall view that is biased free, then check out Chris Brown's work at Grantland or any of the work that Football Outsiders puts out there.CWBIII, dolfan32323, Frumundah Finnatic and 3 others like this. -
/\ To be fair, most are pretty vanilla and are getting the job because of their connections in the industry. However some guys have some pretty good football knowledge and are good to listen to. I like Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwin, they seem to always know whats going on with a team, less obvious players, know how to explain x and o's on plays for the fans who aren't as educated.

Unreal.

NFL Sirius radio is a step up from NFL Network or any of the other sports television stations IMO. It's not perfect, but usually has entertaining and reasonably knowledgeable broadcasters.. Just don't like Adam Schein.

He's probably a Jets fan. Who care's? The team will probably use this and the article that excluded Reggie to fuel their fire!
