Hey guys.. In the fall semester I'll be producing a 25-30 minute sports show for UNI. I'm thinking of ideas for the show and figured I'd take some of your suggestions. Anyways, the plan is for the show to be mainly about the NFL and College football with other sports scattered in and possibly some random topics, like Cold Pizza. We're going to do it likely on a two week basis being doing it every week would be very tough with limited time. Anyways the show is going to be called Panthers On Sports and here's what we're planning on putting in right now: --NFL Two Week Recap --College Football Recap --Fantasy Wire (Sleeper Picks of the Week, Busts of the Week) --P.O.S. of the Week The guy I'm running this with has a few more ideas that I can't really remember at the moment, but the reason we're calling it Panthers on Sports is so we can do the "P.O.S. of the Week" mainly because... well it's clever. Anyways, if you guys have any suggestions just say something. Thanks.
Well so far I got hookers and doing it nude... Sounds like you guys want this to be more like a porno than anything...
What can I say? Sex sells. And I said strippers, not hookers. Gotta be at least borderline legal here. What's your production budget? Is it going to be like pulling two lawn chairs and a cheap table in front of a camera or something closer to a real sports broadcast? We don't have student sport shows here but the student production crew here's done a good job making the clip montage in front of the adidas store look very professional.
Well, it'll be semi-professional. Nothing like the real deals you see on ESPN and what not. We'll probably paint a set, have a nice desk and make it look like a professional sports set. We'll probably do a three camera shoot with our broadcasts... It's not like in middle school when you made your own movies with two people...

If you wanted to go a COMPLETELY different route and relate it to sports, why not a single camera style show (ala scrubs) where the main character is the equipment manager of a football/basketball/sports team of a local college/pro team. The show can follow him with his interactions between players (typical meathead types, pretty boy QBs, weird kicker, resident troublemaker/felon types) and management (stern head coach, wacky general manger/A.D. who is always scheming). Hilarity ensues. edit: Patent/Trademark/Copyright pending so none of you steal my ideas!
Excellent idea. A video hateblog on a weekly segment would be awesome. Not the whole show, but a segment where a blogger can just go off on a Dennis Miller/ Tim Leary style rant about somethign wrong in sports. (runs to staff forums at www.finhell.com to discuss).
