you know the rest... would you? Could you? We've had such a hole at tight end... (:shifty:)....

Could you root for your team with someone of questionable integrity (to say the least) on the roster? How much are you willing to sellout Dolfan for a taste of glory?

Not sure "sociopath" is a position on the field in the NFL, maybe if he were a GM.

wouldn't even spend a moment thinking about it. because even if he found a way to circumvent the system, he's no better than OJ Simpson. even worse in my mind since Hernandez might have multiple murders, all premeditated.

That's not going to happen. If he gets acquitted it will be simply because even though they can show a mountain of circumstancial evidence that he was at the crime scene and that he was angry at Lloyd and he controlled the entire set of circumstances of the evening, the jury doesn't know if he is the one that pulled the trigger or if Ernest Wallace or Carlos Ortiz did it.

Either way, there's no Sir Lancelot on a White Horse piece of evidence that is going to show him innocent and "set up". He was there at the murder scene. He was angry at Odin Lloyd. He's seen on video holding the same kind of gun that killed Lloyd, mere minutes after the murder. He's the one that texted Lloyd and said they were going to pick him up. He's the one that texted Ernest Wallace and Carlos Ortiz and told them to join him prior to picking Lloyd up.

He either gets off on a technicality, or he's in jail for life.

And either way, I don't want him on the Miami Dolphins or any NFL team.

if the nfl lets him back in, I'll have a hard time supporting it any further, let alone if he comes to the dolphins.

I wouldn't do it. Just because he'd be hypothetically "not guilty" (notice lack of innocent) in court doesn't mean his past won't follow him down to MIA in the present.

The team's got enough issues as it is

We do need a TE, and he's a good player, but I don't think he's the right player.

Yeah, no. There is enough evidence to support that beyond any reasonable doubt he was complicit in at least one man's murder. That would be lunacy if he ever played another NFL snap. But folks might have said the same thing about Ray Lewis at some point.

For me, if I were an NFL GM and he did get off on ALL charges, I'd have to take a real close look at how many of those Rolling Stone allegations were true. Because if he got off on that murder, it would only be a matter of time if he killed again if he couldn't kick that PCP habit.

Which all says the Hernandez is pretty ****ing stupid if he cannot plan a murder any better than that. He did everything possible to indicate he wanted to get caught, which he surely didn't, so he has to be just plain stupid.

Yeah, he'll definitely be a wide receiver by the time he sees the outside of a prison cell.

Well FWIW that recent Rolling Stones article said that lately he's been addicted to Angel Dust and been paranoid a lot. If he's become a sherm head that would explain why he couldn't plan the murder any more wisely than he did.

What I don't get is why the Rolling Stone guy recently said he thinks he gets acquitted. The evidence is pretty damn strong. I believe most legal experts that have looked at the case say it looks pretty grim for Hernandez.

He thinks acquitted on all charges or just on the 1st degree murder? The weapons charges really look like a slam dunk, and they're enough to put him behind bars for 20 years at least, or so I heard.

I have zero desire to ever see Hernandez as a Miami Dolphin. Even if he somehow gets off his murder charge, he still is a troubled human being and not someone I would want to see playing for a team I have rooted for since 1966.

Hernandez, if he is indeed not found guilty, needs help and hopefully will focus his efforts on cleaning up his life rather than playing football. It is very clear that he is extremely troubled with lots of issues in his life.

That being said, I absolutely wouldn't want him on my team. Talk about a polarizing figure in the locker room.

That could very well be true. Seems like someone here said the 20. I think this maybe due to there being multiple charges and whether they were served concurrently or consecutively. I guess which it was would be up to the judge?

I think its because all the evidence, while overwhelming, is circumstantial. They still don't have a weapon either.

Edit: So important I thought I'd post it twice... Just kidding. Can't figure out how to delete it, though, now that it's posted.

(Since I am going on, I probably should add a funny picture or video or something, but no, just the same old smart-alecky post. Sorry for your trouble of having to read it twice.)

I don't care if he is acquitted. Anyone who thinks the opinion of a jury (made up of naturally flawed people) actually matters is a bit dull in the head. I don't care if God parts the sky and shoots lightening from the tips of his fingers at everyone who opposes AH. The man is still scum.

The guy is a Latin King. He belongs on an episode of Gangland. Thats how you wanna win games? Stabbing the other team to death? No thanks. Id rather lose with some degree of integrity then have a team of criminals. This isnt an Adam Sandler movie :)

I might have to root for a different team it would be such a travesty to me. No way, no how, not if he was cleared Lilly white. a wolf in sheep's clothing is still a wolf. I would lose all respect for the Dolphins.
