Teams are desperate for QBs in a QB driven league. So I wouldn't put it out of possibility. I think a 3rd would be more realistic though.

....You guys still are blind...He is not an upgrade for Oakland, Chicago, Detriot, or Washington. And I would have to say not for KC either, as at least as a game manager(which is what Tannehill is) Alex Smith at least takes care of the football.

I think we could trade Tannehill, but with his contract, it would have to be for a 5th or later. No one is giving up a high draft pick for a 5th year QB who hasn't shown anything in the top half of the league, with a top 10 contract...

So a team is going to give away a second round pick then pay Ryan 20 Mill a year when he has been about as average as you can imagine??

Not happening, but would be nice.

My opinion of Kap is if you can get him as a street FA with something to prove for cheap, then why not. If our OL is going to keep sucking may swell have a QB who is elusive.

idk what kind of draft pick they could get but Detroit and Chicago would trade for a younger QB and start a rebuild. Maybe the Rams get desperate again and trade for another QB. Cleveland maybe. The Saints could start the rebuild with him. Honestly I don't see him being traded though because of his contract. And he is an average QB. Even if teams are desperate idk how you trade for him given his contract and he hasn't shown any more than being an average QB in the NFL.

Matt Stafford can make throws Ryan simply can't....problem is, sometimes those throws are to the other team.

If you're hiring good enough coaches to get Kaepernick to play well- it would be a whole hell of a lot easier to design an offense to mask Tannehill's flaws.

Seriously, you're out of your damn mind if you think Tannehill isn't your starting QB next year. It's not really even something you need to think about medium-hard.

You cannot game plan around all the holes in his game. He sits there today with nice protection and waits and waits until he gets sacked. Meanwhile Still is running down the field wide open and TE is open on a curl

Let's put it this way- regardless of what your opinion on Tannehill is, I'll guarantee you that whatever coach comes in here will choose to work with him going forward rather than spending the resources on a significant challenger.

harbaugh knew how to win with kaeperniks skill set..harbaugh is not coming thru the door..unless you have the total commitment to the skill set and offensive philosophy its a futile exercise..

reports are three teams inquired about him before going on IR.

Kaepernick was also on a team with a dominant defense and a top-tier running game. There's a reason the 49ers made it to the Super Bowl and it wasn't necessarily their QB, although Kaepernick made some fine plays that year.

With Kaepernick not bailed out by a great rushing attacked and a defense that can stop most anyone, we see his team do badly. No surprise.

Kaepernick is one of the few NFL QBs who, like Tannehill, have all the physical traits you could ever want. The problem is he isn't that good, in other words, it's sort of the same issue with Tannehill.

over the past two years there has been no more dysfunctional front office and loss of top personnel than that of the niners, when they forced the head coach out two years ago the last year he was there, he was checked out during the year..they also changed offensive philosophies..they lost 8, 9 starters, pro bowlers..justin smith..pat willis..aldon smith..jim harbaugh..frank gore..chris borland..mike crabtree...vernon davis..etc..etc..

there is no qb in this league that would of withstood the corruption that was that front office..once the coach knew he was gone, which was before the season started, it was over..no way to keep synergy between coaches and players..toxic situation..

that kid played his role beautifully for three years..got them to a Super Bowl..playoffs, championship games..he played well..he reached hi levels of performance, on the road, and made individual plays that won games..

like I said, unless you are going to use him the way he needs to be used, and commit to it 100 percent, then forget it.they certainly weren't doing that the last two years.

As bad as Tannehill has been, if Miami traded for Kaepernick to be their starting quarterback I would give up on this team immediately. He is so terrible I couldn't bare to watch.

RG3 is damaged goods. As bad as things are for us, it doesn't approach what Washington did to get (and waste so many picks) on RG3.

He won't need to throw anything to get Kaepernick, his contract is not guaranteed, he will get released... and he will sign on a team for somewhere around 5 million per (backup/competing for a starting job money)

Kaepernick isn't leading anyone to the Superbowl, so the answer is no. He couldn't even lead the 2000 Baltimore Ravens to a championship. But we do need a quarterback, and at the very least, we need someone to give Tannehill some REAL competition - not some token training camp battle. Tannehill needs to know he's on the hotseat.
