Just for kicks, if you were the Bills head coach, how would you beat the Jets this coming up weekend?
For me, I look at the Bills offensive weaponry and wonder why they are not more productive, that would be the first place to start.
Fred Jackson and Lynch are two good running backs, their Oline is huge, but does not pass block well, so why force them to pass block very much? Simply pound the ball.

I've yet to understand how the Bills can have 5 Olineman that are huge, two good Running Backs, and they cannot run the ball well at all?
I partially blame trying to run the no huddle (Dick Jauron..not genius) but heck power football is something every offensive lineman knows how to do.. -
-
In my gut, I think the Bills have a shot, but I don't think Jauron is a good enough coach to pull it off.unluckyluciano likes this. -
Well for starters, if you are the Jills, you hope the beating Miami inflicted still hurts.
I then do indeed work pounding the ball early and often.
Even before our game, he JESTs had not been stopping the run very well. Jenkins is really the only run stuffer they have up front.
At the first sign of the run working, I start looking for Turdell and hope he can hold onto the ball.
Although Revis is what he is, and will shut down Lee Evans, the Jest have NOBODY at the other corner spot, and it will indeed be a mismatch regardless.
All that said, I worry more aabout the Jills defense stopping anybody in a puke green jersey myself  -

we lend them our offensive line......and our wildcat playbook.

Well, the Bills may have taken their first step:
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/10/14/bills-dumping-the-no-huddle-offense/
Their Oline is still a shambles though, Edwards needs to take 3 step drops and this is another sign for the Bills:
-
All good news.
Whitner and Poz instantly make it a MUCH better team  -
He has been a starter in the NFL, I suppose he will have to do...:shifty:
Their defense has decent Cb's and decent DE's, that is the strength of that defense. -

Are you loosing confidence in your team???
We are talking about Jauron and the Bills now, are we not??? -
Sucotash aside, the Jets Wr corps is now further depleted:

Hmm, well the Jets are down 2 Wr, the Bills are getting their starting Safety and MLB back as well, and the Bills added a familiar name to play RT:

I do know a huge part of their problem is Trent Edwards not being very accurate. -
And the Jets are down two Wr to begin with...
I'll grant the Bills are crappy, I'd also say things are lining up to make this game much more competitive than it otherwise would be. -
-
The weather was terrible in the finale last season vs. New England and it didn't help the Bills a bit. They are horrible, I would be shocked if they won this game.

The Bills "D" easily outplayed the Jets "D" as in no contest.Jeffrey, Section126 and jetssuck like this. -
So could the last three weeks for the Jets be the NFL catching up to Sanchez and Ryan after seeing actual game tape on them or in Ryan's case coaching style?
-
The Jets "D" at the end of the day are void of anyone who can rush the passer making Ryan's blitz packages ineffective. Take out Kris Jenkins and the Jets have some issues.
Wouldn't surprise if the Jets played well against the Raiders with Sanchez coming back to CA, but long term they have issues. -
It looks like they may have that situation all over again but with other intangibles in question.
I myself liked Sanchez coming out of college but never gave much thought to weather being a factor. If it is he is in a terrible division for him since the Bills and Pats away games will kill him if they come in colder/winter weather. Add that to playing in NY in the winter and any other away games in rough winter weather. The only divisional away games he may have his best success in will be Miami where the weather favors him.
I also agree with you on his return to California helping him but honestly if the Raiders can hold McNabb in check they could Sanchez too. I think the Jets will win but after the Bills loss I am nowhere near as sold on it as I was before Sunday. I'm not saying Sanchez is a bust, actually nowhere near saying that, but what I am saying is that being a sub-par QB in bad weather will kill a QB in the northeast. Only time will tell if he can correct it and since this was his first bad weather game chances are he will learn from it and improve. As of now there have to be some worries for Jets fans though. -
I think Sanchez's learning curve was elongated now with his exposure to poor weather.
I'm not sure what he will develop into eventually, I suspect he will be a good Qb, not the "elite Super Bowl Cailbur" Qb that most Jets fans had hoped he would become.
1 yr starter, 16 starts and never having played in a game under 55 degrees is not a recipe for success this season.
