I will watch till the end cause i love my Dolphins but i cant help but wonder on how much i will hate this 2011 team is we miss out on Luck and he truly turns out to be the next Payton Manning

I am glad we won't go 0-16 but I want us to have as high a draft position as possible. Keep the games close, competitive, and interesting. That will make me happy. I'm sick of mediocrity on this team... lets get the best QB we possibly can get.

They let you down because they played well. :pity: I am almost glad we won, so this SFL talk will end. I wanted Luck as much as anyone, but realistically we only had a small shot of getting him. We have been close every game and were bound to win one eventually, unlike Indy that gets blown out all the time.

There is one more truly winnable game on our schedule. Matt Moore is awful, today he caught lightning in a bottle. We are still picking top 3.

 

Go spend your Sundays watching Disney on Ice or something if you hate them so much for winning a game.

Oh yes, I always watch, and do feel we need a Qb, though MMoore is decent, we need a guy.

I've been consistent in that I do not wish to sit through another "4 yr plan" I also think we could easily be 3-4 right now, but we aren't, either way though, I'm a dolphins fan.

 

I always wanna watch, it's just easier when we win.

 

The win today was a sweet moment in a season which has been, until this point, and probably will continue to be, pathetic. Even at that, it is only slightly less pathetic to me than that idea that a professional sports team would throw a season in order to draft one player. That is unethical, dishonest, and a despicable attitude for any professional in any vocation to have. It does not matter whether it is "merely" an entertainment industry, or not. If the same attitude were to prevail in other professions - that unethical, dishonest, and intentionally self-serving methods were used to the detriment of the product being produced or service rendered, we would call it malpractice and sue the perpetrators for their actions. My mind cannot accept the idea that there is a different standard of conduct simply because this is not an attorney being bribed to throw a case, or a doctor being overlooked as drunk on call, or a corporation cooking the books to rob the stock holders. We are what we support. If we demand higher standards in all areas of our lives, we will live better. If we begin to allow ethical deviations from what is right just because it makes us feel good, or satisfies some internal desire.... we have crossed the boundary between being civilized and morally strong, and started down the pathway to weakness on display and our selves for sale to the most satisfying means of gratification.

If you have watched "The Lord of the Rings," how many of you would wish to be Grima Wormtongue? There is still something to be said in this world about the concept of "honor."

Not me...I'll watch just the same as before...of course, I don't live locally and hardly ever get games. I occasionally go to a sports bar, but even there the sound for our game is NEVER on, it's always the local team (Carolina), especially now with Newton...

 

I'm conflicted, I've seen this passive aggressive mirage before. I'll watch but I won't be all rah rah. I feel like a battered wife and this win is just like "c'mon baby, stay with me."

God, I don't even enjoy the sado-masochism anymore...

Agree 100% this franchise sucks at losing as well. There is NO good reason to win 4-5 games. The fans are not going to buy tickets to home games anyways. Our Coach will be fired at end of the year, Our GM will be let go, we will have 3-4 wins and get the 4-5th pick in the draft for our winning which did nothing for the team except hurt us in our efforts to get a franchise QB.

This team just plain sucks. Sparano is going to screw us on the way out trust me.

 

For all those fans that talk about what we've lost how many opportunities have the Dolphins had to get a franchise guy and they've whiffed? Plenty of times, three I can think of. Relax, root for the team to win, and often times opportunities do come your way when it comes to quarterbacks.

 

I hope we win every week, never hope we lose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll watch every week regardless. That being said, now that theyve avoided going 0-16, I'm perfectly fine if they don't win another. Sparano is still gone at the end of the year, and the higher the draft pick the better. Wins at this point don't make me any more or less proud to be a fan. Not making the same mistakes that this team has made the past 10 years would make me proud, however.

 

I'll watch every game. I will take a win in Miami in our stadium hopefully against the Skins.

 

If they keep winning, I'll still watch because I won't be able to look away. Sort of like a trainwreck. In all seriousness though, a nine-game winning streak does nothing for us at this point. It'd be nice to watch, but in the grand scheme it's all for naught.

 

Watch and hope we break some other teams playoff hopes! Bills, Jets and Pats. Im just saying "any given Sunday".

 

Gotta beat Dallas. I'm sure every person on this board knows at least one cowgirl fan they want to shut up.

 

It would be one of the best things to happen to the culture of this fan base in a long time if some of the Suck for Luck people got discouraged and stopped being fans.

 

In other words, "You'll get 4-12 and like it!"

 

I'll still be watching them just the same (I wore my Brandon Marshall jersey to the bar today) but I'll probably pay more attention to the games rather than being distracted by other TVs and 1 particular waitresses who I'm betting has trouble seeing her own feet.

 

Oh sure, and to me, there are still some good stories on the team, like Bush and Moore and Jimmy Wilson and Charles Clay.

Right now, I'm just kind of enjoying the win and being hopeful.

 

You're not taking any sort of valiant stand with "Suck for Luck". You're not sacrificing this year for anything down the road. You've sold yourself a bill of goods. Luck is not guaranteed to break us out of anything, it's not an opportunity too great to pass up. There's no such thing as a can't miss prospect, and the performances of guys who have been labeled as such in the past should sort of serve as a warning.

Luck is a genuinely great prospect, but this **** is out of hand.

 

I'll watch the same as I always do! Cheering, ranting and raving for almost every game since the 1800's.
