Baylor "kicked the piss out of" Michigan State for 3 quarters, anyway. Big slap in all our faces c/o Michigan State.
Ohio State had a better SOS, and beat more top 25 teams and won a champ game 59-0. They had a better resume
He certainly did. I didn't get a chance to watch much of the game but they had an epic meltdown apparently. We ll see with Ohio State. I hope they beat Saban but I don't expect them to.
As much as I would love it, it's unlikely Ohio State beats the #1 team in the nation with a 3rd string QB. Defense will have to force turnovers
I don't blame you, this team is a complete and utter joke of a franchise, and it all starts at the top, with the idiot in my sig.
Better than I gave them credit for and glad to see Dick Saban get beat. Alabama has always been a tad over-rated but impressive win with an inexperienced qb to boot.
I wouldn't say they dominated. They were down pretty big, and Bama shot themselves in the foot several times. Their running back played awesome though.
In honor of the greatest win in Buckeye history, probably, I am unblocking Fin-O. I will read his silly posts and deal with his personal attacks. For the love of the Buckeyes!
They got 2 TDs off Buckeye turnovers. They had half as many yards. It would have been a major blowout. Alabama was out played in every phase, except maybe punting.
What a day it was for the Big 10. Wisconsin defeats the #18 team in the nation Michigan State defeats the #5 team in the nation Ohio State defeats the #1 team in the nation Now that Harbaugh is at Michigan, I think the days of the Big 10 being a "joke" are behind us. Dare I say underrated? With Auburn and LSU losing (LSU to ND) and Ole Miss getting downright embarrased by TCU...dare I say the SEC west may actually be overrated?
Yea the SEC dominance is all but gone, they were top heavy this year like most conferences. Tebow nailed the parity comments.
Calm down. This is the first time in 9 years that an SEC team isn't playing for a National Title. A down year does not make the SEC "overrated". And this is coming from a 'Cane fan.
They are still solid, may even still be the best. But the dominance is non existent, the whole conference looked pedestrian this bowl season. Still good though
That's fair. However, things are certainly looking up for the Big 10. And by overrated, I mean those that think a mediocre SEC team would walk over teams like Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Michigan State. Many of those people existed. Hopefully this trend continues. Not because I dislike the SEC. But because the Big 10 being irrelevant was not good for the game IMO.
I'm still betting all my money on the SEC for at least the next couple of seasons. College football, like most sports, is cyclical and the SEC will be overtaken at some time. However, my point is that too much talent still comes out of the SEC to start jumping the gun and claiming that they are overrated.
