Bro, looks like you are the person attacking a person and name-calling.
I was just goofing around.
You did call my opinion "dumb".
whatever guys. if for whatever reason we dont make it, i would hate to see the pats put another afce championship banner up. id rather see the jets do it. how is that not reasonable?
...and then watch them get spanked in round 1
Truth be told I hate the Jets worse than the Pats. At least with NE we already know what they are and what they are capable of I would rather they add another banner because lord knows we can't really shortchange what they've done the past several years but at least with the Jets we can say that they didn't win it either.
My ideal setting is that Miami wins out, the wildcard shuffle goes thRt the Jets & Pats both miss the playoffs. Now that would thrill me.
I understand the spirit behind the OP. It would be great to go to NY, with their 'rubbish' QB and tied records, the Playoffs on the line, and beat them. I would bottle the tears from Fireman Ed's eyes and cherish them for all eternity.
I think your opinion is completely reasonable. I'd hate to see Bellichek win without Brady and be deemed a super-genious. But I really hate the jets.
This will all be moot when we win out and take the AFCE crown.
This is my thinking exactly. The Pats have already won 3 Super Bowls, 4 AFC championships and 6 division titles since 2001. It really doesn't bother me if they get another division. It's not as if they're going to get to the Super Bowl any way; they are way too banged up.
On the other hand, I would love to see the Jets fail to make the playoffs after spending a ton during the off-season and bringing in Brett Favre. And it would be nice to see another team in our division collapse as badly as we did in 2002 (it wasn't that long ago that the Jets had this division race well in hand).
And the #1 reason I'd rather see the Pats win it: they're not the NY Jets. If the Jets were playing Satan for the fate of my immortal soul, I'd bet on Satan.
the refs and the league would do all they could to propel the pats magical postseason given the chance
Sometimes it is a good day when the umpire eats his teeth and the Dolphins win you blokes but for anyone to hope the the Jets win is silly you wanks.
and i still have no idea what youre talking about
Did you watch the football game?
Ha.... You didn't watch the game did you mate?
I think this whole argument comes down to which team you hate the most. Personally for me if the Fins can't win the division then I want anyone but the Pats winning it so if the Jets winning helps that I am for it. Its never that you are cheering for the Jets to win because of course you want the Bills, Jets, and Pats to lose as many games as possible.
I wanted the Jets and Pats to lose today because I would have liked to wrap up the division next week if possible but what good does come from the Jets win for me is that it hurts the Pats chances as much as the Fins win does. Lets put it this way I want all the AFC East teams besides the Fins to lose but if I can see a team get hurt the most from a loss its the Pats even if another division team wins. I am guessing most people were rooting for the Bills today which is rooting for an AFC East opponent.
Maybe the Jets and Patriots can get stuck in a sinkhole prior to Sunday games and are forced to forfeit, enabling us to win the division?
One can dream, eh?
as a team our yards per rush is about 4.4...The wildcat is about 6.0, i think the running game is doing fine considering the circumstances.
I sure did watch the game.
I just dont understand English-English. You gotta start typing American-English mate
Really annoying how those Brits don't speak 'proper' English. What the hell is Queue up for the loo?
Think he said, it was fun to see the umpire eat dirt when he got injured and to see the phins win. And silly for anyone that is glad the jets win.
