The fear and pain was such
that he
didn't want to even see the approaching needle, so he'd start on his
stomach. O.J. McDuffie, so tough, needed to put a towel in his mouth,
too -- to make sure he didn't bite his tongue and to muffle his screams.
He always requested the needle behind closed doors, so that his
teammates couldn't see his tears...
