I'll wait for reviews to see if it's good. Then I'll wait 10 years for it to come on TV.
-
If my movie watching site online is going at the time I'll stream it :shifty: -
Man every commercial during 'The Departed' on FX last night was for this movie. It's the Matrix meets DiCaprio

Saw it today and loved it
-
Wow amazing movie, I loved every minute of it.

I say everything from Leo's character waking up on the plane was a dream...that he was still in limbo. Biggest tipoff being the fact that his kids were in the exact same spot/position as his memories and still in the same clothes. -
Saw it last night. It's going to take a while to figure out what exactly just happened

Go see it.
And thank me later. -

I saw it over the weekend. Phenomenal. I'm dying to see it again. Just thinking about the stuff in the spoiler tags gives me goose bumps.
Doc nailed it a few posts above. Very ambitious. Christopher Nolan continues to make great movies.
OT: Walked in not knowing anything, hadn't seen any previews, who was in it, etc. Made it even better. -

Did the snow scene remind anyone of Modern Warfare 2? It was just so awesome in itself.
This may sound like hyperbole, but this movie is the best movie I have ever seen. Every layer of it is a masterpiece. -
maybe less van free fall cuts? -
For some reason I can't really stand Ellen Page. I didn't mind her in Whip It but I loathed her in Juno. Her needing to have everything explained to her by Leo the whole movie made me feel like that was Nolan's way of giving us insight into WTF we were witnessing. That isn't necessarily a bad thing say if Brooklyn Decker was playing the character.
Page just might need to get naked in a few years for me to enjoy her on screen.Ultra likes this. -
Just saw it and was blown away. I have to see it again. Chris Nolan can pretty much do no wrong. It's in my top 5 without a doubt.

I saw the film last night and loved it. It was really creative, fresh, different- all in good ways. It took Nolan over 8 years between writing to getting it finished and out there for people to see and it didn't disappoint. Nolan is definitely the best director working today. And I thought the ending was great.
Anyway my take on the ending:
When I first saw it I thought everything we were seeing after he woke up on the plane was in fact real and he still wasn't in limbo. However after reading some of these comments such as his kids wearing the same clothes and haven't aged I'm starting to wonder now. Damn you people, jk. Another thing was that they never showed Saito or Cobb kill themselves in limbo so that could be another tip off. The ONLY thing that makes me wonder if Cobb is still dreaming is how he was with Saito, then the plane, then at his home. We never saw a jump of change in location in any of the previous dreams unless he was dreaming of seeing Saito in his 'dream' on the plane. Confusing huh? I will definitely pay attention to the airport scene to see if there are any clues the next time I watch it. Something like this would usually really bug me not knowing if it was true or not however for some reason it really doesn't matter to me whether or not it's real. Maybe it's because I enjoyed the movie so much. -
Well, it was an excellent movie, saw it last night... it's not normal to see great visual effects coupled with an amazing story that has you thinking the whole time. It was a bit of smoke and mirrors to cover up certain elements.
I heard that if you stay thru the credits you see Leo's spinning top fall at the end, confirming it was real... anybody else see that? We left prior to that like most normal people  I do think the final scene was real... but perhaps not... -

Saw it for the second time on IMAX. Amazing! I have every one of Nolan's movies except The Prestige, which will be one of my next purchases. Even his first, low-budget flick, Following, is quite good.

I was in the same boat as Muck. My buddy asked me to go see it and I heard such great things about it so I went. Had no idea what it was about or who was in it. It wasn't until Ellen Page showed up that I remembered seeing the commercials. I love that girl.
Anyway, phenomenal movie that had it all. It was very confusing at some parts which made it kind of frustrating. Like Ray Finkle said...
I also thought the ending was reality, but now I'm not so sure with some of these other comments. I guess that's the point though. You never really know for sure.
Overall, it was a great, great movie and I will definitely see it again.Ray Finkle likes this. -
