I noticed Philbin didn't send Richie out there for the victory formation plays at the end of the game. It was Garner at LG.

 

It might need to replace mine of Bryan Cox giving the Bills stadium the middle finger. I"ll never forget that. I wish I had the actual picture of it, but gish made it happen for me with a football card image I provided. lol. Where in the world is gish?

 

Smart. Also Matt Moore running over and stopping richie from doing something dumb in the third qtr. Loved seeing that from a backup who knows his team well.n

 

Incognito needs to be a better player than he is to get away with his extracurricular activities.

You think that was at Sparano? Like I said before the game, this game would seal his fate with the Jets. He might finish the season with them, but this game was the kiss goodbye.

I don't think it was directed specifically at Sparano. If anyone, the Jets players he'd just had the altercation with on the field prior to the blowing kisses.

 

Incognito was chasing after the player that sacked Matt Moore and it wasn't even Richies man he was just pissed the QB got hit. I wonder what Moore told Richie to stop him and bring him back?

He's a tough SOB, an extremely emotional player, goes full force and will defend fellow teammates at the drop of a hat.
You'd think we'd be happy to have that type of tough attitude player after all the dead fish we've rostered the past decade.

Usually you hate that type of guy when he's on the OTHER team not when he's on yours.
Unbelievable around here at times.

 

I don't think I saw this link posted and I'm not real familiar with the legitimacy of PFF, but they give some real kudos to Incognito, (and Starks) in this article. They also lambast Odrick. I thought it a real interesting read.

Richie Incognito had a pretty good game vs. the Jets but generally speaking he hasn't been very good this year and he's been at best solid in years past. He's not above reproach.

 

The man can smile after all even though he had to make a face doing it lol.

That 30-9 score tells so much with that wise a$$ smile . Gotta love it.

I think this has been a week spot the past few weeks as I posted comments saying the run game will improve if Incognito and Long start making lanes again.

 

No one is "above reproach".

It's all about performance.

That said, with Incognito it's clear that the criticism has been about more than just performance.
There's been a wave of criticism on this board that started enforce when a group immediately took the word of an opposing player on the Texans about "dirty play".
That group never waited to hear the other side of the story or took a good look at the video evidence before starting a "burn him at the stake" campaign. Even when the NFL cleared Incognito and fined that player the same people still were against him.

I can see that the negative bias is still motivating some posters about this guy and it continues into, IMO, extra critical "reviews" of his performance.
I don't think anyone is going to say this guy is a top Guard but he wins a good share of battles and is a legitimate starter.
This extra criticism from some in the fan base is a shame too because aggressive, tough players are an asset to have on your side.
I just don't get the "outrage" for a guy that plays violent on a football field where you are supposed to when there are so many players in the NFL that have violent issues off the field and are pedestrian on it.

That's all I'm saying.

 

Whether he was angry at the Jets, us (he called us out on Twitter recently about his grading this year) or just the world in general, Richie Incognito (+4.5) played mad in this game. If he wasn’t blowing kisses to the opposing sideline, or having to be dragged back by Moore as he trundled off to explain the finer points of football to a defender, he was laying down some very dominant run blocks. Absolutely perfect in pass protection he was also responsible for two of the best blocks going forward I’ve seen all year — both in the second quarter, he first drove the redoubtable Mike Devito 4 yards off the ball at 8:53, before pulling through the hole at 4:48 and completely de-cleating Demario Davis. He was even good enough to take the time after the play was over to explain to Davis just exactly what he’d done wrong. If he’s not happy with +4.5, I guess I’ll be next.

 

See that? He's not such a bad guy after all.
