I don't see it happening.

Hmmm, forgiveness..I could see this being a life changing circumstance..I'm all for strange occurrences that could possibly unify a team, he obviously crossed lines, and teammates did not intervene, however, maybe this Indiviudual has become truly humbled and mature, I don't think his actions are some sort of thing where he can't become a better person or learn from it, I could see it where it becomes his awakening moment.
I think if I was a coach, I would look into the team physche, and see if this is a reclamation project that maybe we wanna help the guy get his life in track..gunn34 likes this. -
It would look bad. You have multiple coaches and trainers being fired because of the actions of this guy, and then you bring the guy that caused all of it back to the team? No way.

Buyer beware.
People can easily fall into the trap of thinking he's learned his lesson, that this whole mess brought him to the brink and now he knows he can't get away with the same old crap as he did before.
However you have to stop and consider that you, as a rational person, may be ascribing rationality onto a guy who might not operate with any. This is a guy who very recently took a baseball bat to his own ***** car, a ***** car he impulse-bought like the day after he was suspended by the way, and who I believe recently checked himself into a mental facility...for at least the SECOND time in his life.
Why are we ascribing rational decisions onto a guy like that? We have every signal that he simply can't help himself from doing bad, distracting things.Desides, Pauly, Serpico Jones and 7 others like this. -
He can **** off. Id be really disappointed if we brought him back.

I've never heard of this guy. Need to do some research before I can comment.

I've held the unpopular idea that Martin was the problem all along (and still do), and even I couldn't see how or why Incognito should rejoin the Dolphins. There is nothing but bad that can come of it. Either way, that sour chapter in the teams history needs to be closed. I hope he finds success with a new team.

The guy was as much of a hole on our line as was Jonathan and John Jerry.. no thanks... he sucks.

Incognito:
1) have the doctors look at him, especially the team shrink
2) allow the starters to vote on it
3) if he passes everything & will work for a reasonably friendly one year contract.
4) right the wrong & hire him. we need him back big time!
Jon Jon got a job on the west coast, no reason to destroy a perfectly good pro-bowler over a conspiracy to defame & collective incident -

I truly don't believe he was purposely being malicious, I'm just as pissed at other players for not checking Cognito along the way,so there's always room to understand the intentions if they weren't meant to be harmful, there have been players who have done plenty worse and their team welcomed them back..
He's not that intuitive to others and he's a an immature Putz, but he may now understand..I'd bet he sure would be grateful.Puka-head and Mcduffie81 like this. -
To each their own.
EDIT: Oops. I forgot sexually assaulting a female volunteer at a Dolphins charity golf event then refusing to apologize until served with a police complaint. Sounds like a swell guy! He doesn't mean to hurt anyone. He just does it by accident. A LOT.Colorado Dolfan, SICK and Kucha like this. -
I don't believe he had bad intentions, and when that is the case, I try to understand the issues, and maybe after complete destruction and humility, give that person a chance..
If it weren't for how it would be perceived, I would like to see if bottoming out could make him the best friend and player he could possibly be.P h i N s A N i T y, dolphindebby and Finfangirl like this. -
Let someone else do the gracious reclamation project. -
I think any person would go off the deep end when the whole world and it's bottom feeding, blood sucking reporters and media are calling you a bully and racist along with 100 other things. No one will ever know the stress that put him under, especially when he doesn't believe (nor do I) that he was maliciously bullying a big *** baby in Martin. I'd rather have Richie any day over Martin. Sign him up. This damn team needs some attitude.

The best part is Incognito still considers Martin a friend and wants to play in Oakland now. He was "excited" to hear that Martin will be a 49er.

Bring him back, there are worse offenders in the NFL. Put him on an incentive laden contract make him earn everything every step of the way and guarantee nothing. And let's get something straight here. People were fired on their own accord, not because of Richie. Those people choose to take part in the hazing or choose to ignore it! Which by all accounts is as much of a problem as the original offenders. I'll reserve my right to think that people can change when their faced with life altering circumstances. And I'll keep my comments about Jmart to myself, since I can't think of anything nice to say.

Yawn. When does he go away? We've upgraded and moved on.

Considering how ugly the line looks without him I would welcome him back. The only thing he is guilty of is having poor taste and that was supposedly encouraged by the staff... big whoop. There are plenty of players who have been welcomed back after far more serious offenses. As clean eluded too in his post above, we need two OGs and we have only found one so far. RI can play either side and it is an improvement of what they have.
The team did not seem to have a problem with RI. They all came out in support of the guy. There is no valid reason to pass him up. It would be one less hole for Hickey to address.
I also would not mind having mommabilly back here.2socks likes this. -

I'm all for giving people a second chance, but it can't happen here. Just too much damage has been done.
