The hot rumor around Indy is that the Colts are looking to become a more physical team. Though their finesse style suits them well they would like to improve on their 32nd ranked rushing attack.

Im looking for OL help (specifically improving the run blocking), DT, CB, and picks. Any fair combo thereof is acceptable. If Im talking about picks only expect to move a 1st and 2nd or 3rd depending on where youre picking in that round for one of the top ten defensive players in the league.

 

And who is a DPOY caliber player. Hey risk vs reward. Im fine keeping him. Its not like hes a high salaried player and Im up against the cap.

And over the course of his career its closer to 50%.

 

Thats your opinion and thats fine. I find your idea of fair to be ten times more laughable and thats my opinion. Other players like Polamalu have the same styles of play and yet few people would scoff at that price for him. Sanders has a great pedigree and when he is on the field he makes a difference that few single players can make. Dont like it then youre free to shop at the walmart down the block instead of in the Armani store :tongue2:

 

But the difference when he is on the field in evident. SB champions in 2007 when he played a full season, and in 2005 AFC Title game loss to Pitt (sanders first year as a starter).

In 2007 they were 3rd in YPG and had the fewest points allowed
In 2005 they were 11th in YPG and had the 2nd fewest Points allowed.

Both of those years by comparison to the years sanders wasnt in there represented a PPG differential of anywhere from 2-7PPG and you can implicitly point to sanders' absence as the single most reason for the PPG differential. So you mean to tell me that getting a player who could cut your PPG down by as much as a TD isnt worth more then a 3rd? Youre not dealin with dOmInIzzO here :lol: :no:

 

This year the Colts are allowing 19PPG like you said. In 2005 and 2007 it was 13 and 16PPG. There's still a huge difference in that defense when he is on the field.

updated....except for sanders and Garcon, not looking for a lot in return for most of the players on my trade block...mid round or low picks being the preference depending on the player

 

two deals done...who else is looking to do something? Players and needs on my trade block only primarily unless blown away.

 

Clearing cap space. Players I felt were too good to cut but in this league they hinder your ability to maneuver. So I dealt them for slightly less then market value to create room for plyers I do want. Pretty simple really. :)

Addai averaged how much per carry this past year? Bush is also a more explosive and powerful runner. I know many will give the edge to addai but I am not one of them. Saturdays run metrics are questionable and his salary doesn't help. Hayden may have been their franchise player a year ago but doesn't fit what I want to do with the team. He's at times been exploited in coverage. I want better pure athletes and better instincts at the position that hayden doesn't possess and he was not worth that cap number to me. I have some things in mind to improve the colts now that I have given myself some room to do things.

 

McNabb, Jackson, McCoy, Maclin, and your entire draft. Then I may consider it. :lol:
