is it too outrageous of an idea to drop both Ronnie and Ricky and pick up D'Angelo and sign Ingram? I love Ronnie but he hasn't really proven anything lately and his better days are behind him. Same with Ricky except hes even older! I think Ingram and Williams would be an excellent 1-2 punch in the backfield and would rejuvenate our run game with any additions we make to the oline this year. Anyone think this would be a good idea or would even be thinkable?!

That would be pretty nasty, I would only be satisfied if we can somehow trade back in the late 1st plus get a 2nd round pick and be still be able to get Ingram with that late 1st

If you sign D williams, than you dont draft Ingram...If you draft Ingram, you dont sign Williams....its as simple as that....Its not a wise use of your teams resources from a GM perspective to aquire both players.

The price we'd have to pay may not be worth it. Williams will want probably his last big payday in the NFL while Ingram is Mark Ingram.

I believe you underrate the player's skillset....cause that the only basis as to why I want him in Aqua. -
When it comes to 1st rd value, RB's just don't grade out well in the Parcells Paradigm (first!)...It's just propaganda to these guys, and I don't want to hear any more "Mark Ingram to the Dolphins" propaganda at this point.

Heres our first round draft scenarios imo..
Draft QB
Draft von miller..{I only use his name because he would be the only player i would go defense for at 15, but we all know hes going way before}
Draft Mark ingram.
If those three things dont happen, trade down...trade down..trade down... -

16..Jacksonville (8-8)...no need
17..New England - from Oakland (8-8)...def need for the twilight career of Brady...Jarvis green is average.
18..San Diego (9-7)....nope
19..New York Giants (10-6)..maybe?...bradshaw is a free agent.
20..Tampa Bay (10-6)..nope, not unless their boy knocks someone the fu$# out this offseason.
21..Kansas City* (10-6)..nope
22..Indianapolis* (10-6)..They need defensive help, but maybe the same rules apply to manning as brady..Addai is a free agent.
23..Philadelphia* (10-6)..nope
24..New Orleans* (11-5)..just dont see Payton straying away from what they do..and if your not gonna feed the beast, than whats the sense...Plus they got frenchy there.
25..Seattle* (7-9)..The predator is on the loose in seattle...nope
26..Baltimore* (12-4) Ray rice krispies...nope

Things will be all screwy this year if the draft is before FA as well, which looks more and more likely. That makes who we get at RB to replace R&R (if they choose to go that route) really up in the air. I think Ingram could very well be the choice at #15, IF they can't reach a trade with someone to move down and re-coup the 2nd rounder spent on Marshall. Ideally, Irish would rather make the trade down and worry about a RB elsewhere. The main thing is that we don't just need a RB...we have several key needs that are best upgraded thru the draft rather than FA....(interior OL, TE, speedy WR, S, OLB, Returner, etc)... -
That would be sweet. -

one or the other, not both:no:can't go wrong with Ingram
bring back either Ronnie or Ricky with a reasonable contract -
IMO we NEED two starting quality backs, preferably one Vet & one rookie. Williams & Ingram would work for me, if we could trade down from 15. As long as they're skill sets compliment each other rather than overlap. One big pay/versatile guy, one inside tough yds/goal line guy & we'll be set.
