Ok, I know, by now you are saying "find your own ****ing books lucky", but hey, I find something that piques my interest, I want to read about it, I ask around to see what books most agree are no bs. So shutup and answer the questions stoopids. Whats a good inquisition book you have read/ are reading/ heard about? Thanks as always.
alright I'm starting to get worried. first you're reading about MARQUIS DE SADE now the Inquisition. What are you building in your basement? And do I want to know?
The Spanish Inquisition (1965) by Henry Kamen, was the first modern piece of scholarship on the Spanish Inquisition and is still the standerd reference. You might need to narrow your search parameters. The Inquisition covered half of Europe and lasted over three centuries. It focused first on Jews and Moslems and later on Protestants and intellectuals. It was used and abused by political leaders as well as the Church. Hope this at least helps!
Thanks! I mostly just want a basic study of why it happened, what occurred, nothing in to much detail.
