Yeah I've been saying the same thing since I've been on this board. Statistically, SB winning QBs are at around 1 standard deviation above the mean in key passing stats in the year they win the SB, and 1 standard deviation corresponds roughly to top 6-7 each year. The most important part of any SB winning team is the QB, then WR, then DB, then those who protect the QB or rush the QB, so OT and DE. Teams should prioritize resources in that order. That's why I've said for almost a decade (time I've been here) you do everything to get your QB, then WR, DB, DE and OT. This team is built right. Grier did it almost exactly the way stats suggest you should do it. Don't prioritize RB or the rest of OL or DL or LB etc until you have those core components. There's no way it's a coincidence Grier and McD are prioritizing exactly what stats say to prioritize. It's the influence of analytics on football. That's why our future looks bright. Odds are on our side if we can keep this core together.
