Just a heads up that the 2nd annual intersquad scrimmage will be taking place on Saturday July 31st. Dont know the time though. Get there early because that will fill up quick. I wish they would do it at Dolphins Stadium like some other teams do
IIRC they did one in the bubble in 2008 that was on MD.com - for some reason I remember them talking about Josh McCown and Sean Ryan a lot afterwards...if that gives you any indication of what it'd be like.
i just watched the jets dolphins game again last night, must have been the 11th or 12th time i did see that game, but also it was kind of weird after all this basketball in the last months to see some football again and man am I ready for some football
Oh yes, the CFL is sorta like soy bacon, it can taste good if you cook it right, but it isn't the real thing. 9 days until the scrimmage, 24 days until the first preseason game.
Your right it ain't the nfl, but there is some pretty good football up there! I've been watching cfl since Warren Moon played there. And Yes I'm pretty old!
Oh sure, I'm not bagging on the CFL, I've been watching pretty much every game since their Opening Day, what I am saying is I'm more of a Dolphin fan than a BC Lions fan, though I do like the Leos, I love da 'Phins.
I don't think it's true. According to Ben Volin, July 31st is "Family Day" at the 9am and 5pm practices. I don't know what that entails but I doubt it's an intra-squad scrimmage.
I don't mean to be calling you out, I figured you had to be getting it from somewhere, I'm just trying to let people know that so far all of my information points to July 31st being an open day to the public known as "Family Day". There's some confusion over whether this day has the first practices open to the public or not, because some of the beat writers are insisting that Friday is open to the first 2000 fans that arrive.
Does seem a little weird having a scrimmage on the 2nd day of camp. I would get a confirmation from MD.com before going to Davie with this expectation.
