Batphone usually refers to the direct line or the shady line. If you got a phone the wife doesn't know about then that's the batphone. Its usually the more personal or discrete of your lines.

Lemme guess...it was Commissioner Gordon telling him he needed all the players to attend yet ANOTHER celebrity gala with the Estafans, J-Lo, Marc Anthony and the Williams sisters.

 

Yeah, I get that. In fact we used to have a separate line in our dorm room that we used for crank calls. If anyone called back on it, we knew it was a star 69 job because we never gave anyone the number. Called it the batphone.

I just didn't know how batphone applied to the Dolphins or Jeff Ireland. Is it a special line that only the owner can call? I guess that would make sense.

I'm hoping he called him to say set up a meeting tomorrow at 9:00 A.M. with Sparano, Henning, and the Special teams coach.

 

Knowing our History and our luck it was Ross saying don't be down guys we will rebuild and try again next year.
