And there are a ****load more stories like that in that thread.

And people wonder why I complain about Ben R. not getting anywhere close to the same punishment Michael Vick received.

Just remember God doesn't like ugly. Everyone gets their due, you may not be there to witness it personally, but they do.

FTR Vick paid his debt but he should not of been allowed back into the NFL. If enough evidence exists that Big Ben raped someone he should be kicked out too...... conviction or not.
The NFL should have a standard of conduct that everyone has to live up to if they want to work for them. Murder, assault, rape, dog fighting, gambling, etc should all be crimes that meet that criteria. I think some sort of standard should be set up though. A bar room brawl fist fight might not violate the conduct standard to the point of expulsion but if that fight proved to be that the player was the provoker and the other guy had serious injury from excessive use of force that would qualify.
IMO what Vick was convicted of satisifies that definition so IMO he got off easy. Im not defending Ben but I would need more to go on than a girl making a claim without more evidence than her word. I did not follow the big ben thing too closely so if there is more to it then I agree with you that he should be punished too. -

This is why I say I think the NFL should have some sort of independent review board in association with the NFLPA. Let the details be kept confidental if need be but make the burden of proof less demanding then a criminal court conviction but still set a standard high enough for it to be reasonable that the person is guilty.Steve-Mo likes this. -
Or Ben being an ******* at a Bar. Or fellow Miami Alumns talking about what an ******* he is.
Or people from his own hometown talking about his assholishness.

I like the story about Arnold Palmer tossing him the best.

A good friend of mine that I went to grad school with is childhood friends with one of the victims; needless to say she nor the victim like him very much... Per the story I was told, most of what was said/heard is purportedly true and he got off because he is in the NFL... From what I remember from the retelling of the story, the victim I am referring to worked at a hotel or something along those lines and Roeth got her in the room; it was a few years back that I was told the story, but I think it was the first victim. In the end, who knows, but someone said it best: where there is smoke, there is fire.
What is unfortunate, is the people that push around their money card...not enough humbleness in this world. -

One thing I forgot to add that perturbed me about this whole saga from a football standpoint is how the Rooneys, over the years, paraded around the notion that they do not condone disorderly conduct (came out and said a bunch of crap) by their players and released a number of no-namers, but pulled a 180 when their star QB had this rape issue.
