Normally, I'd be rooting for him to start can't be the best if you can't beat the best. However, after the debacle that was Monday night, this team could use a bit of an assist if it comes in the form of a backup QB.

Honestly, normally I'd be agreeing with you right now, but I'd rather see this team get back on track before I start worrying about them being and beating the best.

 

I'd LOVE to see him out there, but in the name of player safety....

 

I hope they play him so everyone will know that we beat the best team that the Packers could put on the field. It would be hard for us to earn respect or be taken seriously if we beat them with their back up.

But if I were a Miami fan, I'd want him on the bench. You don't get extra style points for beating the starting QB. Give me a game against a backup QB any day.

i'll say this, as an LSU fan, do no underestimate Matt Flynn. The guy is a student of the game and does not screw up when it counts. He won't be tossing bombs or scrambling around, but Flynn could go in with those wrs and make plays.

 

IF Matt Flynn beats us there is no hope for us.

 

It will say a lot more about the Dolphins if they can beat the Packers with Rodgers. Normally I root for the opposing team to be healthy when they play the Jets so they have absolutely no excuses.

 

I will say though, don't sleep on Matt Flynn.

 

I don't think anyone on the Dolphins cares about impressing fans, and they can't control who the Packers put on the field, they can only control how they perform against those players.

 

I will sleep on him all day in comparison to Rodgers.

i really dont care who they play. The Packers are tough in all three phases of the game and that stadium is a brutal place to play. We have to come with our A game to win.

 

This team just suffered two losses that really hurt their morale. Taking down Rodgers is the best for our team and their confidence....I could care less about anyone or anything else. I think they really have something to prove to themselves.

Rodgers is a stud QB. I'd take him in a heartbeat if I had the chance. I agree with you that he is a top 5 QB. He gets overshadowed by the likes of the Manning's and Brady's.

That's why I rarely listen to most people when they talk about players from their favorite team. Fans are typically either too hard on their team or too easy. Sure, there are some people who can judge with their mind instead of their heart, but not many.

However, I can't believe ANY fan of the NFL would say Rodgers is overrated or a choker. The guy is great.

 

I don't see the Phins getting any respect with a win regardless of who plays. If we win with Rodgers playing they will say we had two weesk to prepare and he could be still suffering. If he plays well and we still win, we had two weeks and they are out with other injuries.

I don't care who we play....just win. Ugly, blow-out, I don't care.

 

I for one will not wish for Rodgers to play, there is no sympathy in this league as far as injuries go.

Nobody cares that Crowder has been out, nobody cared back in the Marino days when he tore his Achilles.

You can only play the players they line up against you.

And with our record against backup QB's, this game will not be a cake walk if Rodgers doesn't play.

I don't think I've ever heard it be said that winning a game after your Bye week was less important or meaningful b/c the team had that extra week to prepare.

If anything I'd think it'd be expected that the team coming off the Bye would be favored b/c of the time off.

 

The Dolphins may be better off playing against a Packers offense that has a fuzzy, off Aaron Rodgers than a Packers team that is trying to circle the wagons to take the pressure off its backup QB who has been forced to start due to injury.

That's how football goes sometimes.

Now i know what you're thinking, "LSUs defense beat OSU, not Flynn." And you're right.

But Green Bays Defense can beat us as well, and Matt Flynn is smart enough to let them do that.

Not in my opinion, you get a pass in my book as far as the Jets fans insults go... for now...
