Now THAT'S thinking outside the box "There's your problem......you have some bugs from the future preventing you from observing the Higgs boson" I suppose it's possible, who knows what we'll discover a year, 10 years or 100 years in the future? I guess if we were to discover a way to go back in time to prevent catastrophe or hinder ourselves from discovering something that we aren't ready for, then maybe that's a logical conclusion. If scientists of the future have a directive to go back and make changes, what does that do to them? If you change events that already happened, anything that came after would be different in some cosmic butterfly effect ripple. If those scientists go back in time and make changes, would they even exist in the future to create a time machine and go back to make those changes? Would they cease to exist in one universe and still be living breathing human beings in another parallel universe? Maybe there's just a loose wire in that collider (Occam's razor, anyone?)
Why would you necessarily think only the future, it might well be a parallel life that doesn't want us to have what they can't or they have it and know its either bad for us or maybe it will expose them to us?.
yes somewhat. the actual theory requires all things happening at the quantum level. But yes, all things that can happen do.
There can be linear time and a multiverse, or at least a multi dimensional universe. Linear time is only what we deal with, a multidimensional time is beyond our limitations, that said, why would such a multidimensional universe merely gremlin a project that could destroy that multidimensional universe? Though, the collider was at risk of creating small black holes, which would pose a threat to a sliver of a multidimensional universe...
Nah, the universe, or better said, existence, is orderly, what we think may happen may never happen, what we never think could happen, can happen, what we do not know happens goes on all the time...
I read this yesterday, and my head nearly blew up. What they're saying isn't that beings in the future are sabotaging the LHC -- the subatomic particles themselves are doing it.
Why would people from the future sabotage it? Obviously it doesn't destroy the universe or earth and if it did it wouldn't be sabotage now would it?
I have seen estimates that they will get it working in 2012 . Isnt that the year the Mayan calendar predicted that the world will end.?
http://www.dailycommonsense.com/2012-explained-why-it-shouldnt-be-feared/ The Mayan's were truly advance.
"this reporter would like to apologize for his earlier remakrs and reiterate his allegiance to this country and its human president....................for now"
The Mayans were smarter then we know. Perhaps they are the ones in the future stopping it from working now.
