This may just be the straw that broke the camel's back.
Let's be honest here, it was a tough task to go out there and beat the Pats, who seem to be hitting on all cylinders right now.
Having backup LBs and safeties may be too much of an ask for this defense.
The way Miami can win is run, run, run. You have to eat up clock and keep that offense off the field. You also have to apply pressure. Maybe have a few sack/fumbles go your way.
They have a good run game and I think Blount is up there in scoring.
I sense a blowout, unfortunately.

I guess it's good Hendy/Aikens gets some experience on Sunday in a game that may not really matter a whole lot.

Dont we play Rambo and Thomas now?

Belichick "doesn't get" the proposition of sitting players. Their players are getting two weeks off regardless. If their sitting players, it's a blowout in the fourth quarter in their favor.
Their offensive strengths play right into Miami's weaknesses on D. We just gave up 600 yards to the Bills without any turnovers. Brady has two INTs for the year? So that's not likely.
Miami's pass rush has to be on key. Sack/fumbles. But they have Blount, who has 17 TDs for the year rushing. He's quietly having one helluva run this year.
I'm not being a "Debbie Downer". I Miami just has to play one helluva game to pull this one out.
The fans need to be loud! RUN Ajayi down their throats! Wake? Suh? Need you two to step up!
Keep that offense off the field. Even in these wins, Miami has these quick scores and it puts the D right back out there. Kill some clock. I'm calling you out, Gase. You gotta have a great game plan!
I'm excited, but I won't be surprised in a blowout.
One thing this team needs to realize: if they lose, this isn't the playoffs. They still play the week after. If Miami loses, you don't want that momentum to spill into the next game.Sceeto likes this. -
I love Thomas. He's really pretty solid around the LOS. It's in coverage that he gets beat. Maybe he could be used in that hybrid LB role that AZ uses that one guy?
Rambo....looks the part. Seems quick. Not sure he gets the D yet.
I wonder if Aikens has progressed? -

Gonna be interesting from Rambo's perspective. Thomas, while somewhat limited in the speed department, knows his reads.
Listened to VJ's presser and he said Thomas had his best game of the year last week. I cannot disagree. He played a solid game last week.
I'm not necessarily worried about him. It's Rambo I'm a little worried about. Knowing his responsibilities. Physically, he's fine. It's just getting the reads right. We'll see. Next man up!
