I can't believe that we'll be going through our 6th draft here on The Phins today. Amazing that this community has continued to grow and foster, without any major drama. A true testament to all the members and Mods that keep this place alive.
We've suffered through a terrible stretch as a team , but have all braved through the constant disappointment. I hope we enter the draft next year full of excitement and energy after a glorious 2013 season. We added pieces, have a young QB, a new logo and the attention of the NFL again. Will this draft class be spoken of 20 years from now? Will we add impact players that will define this team for the next decade? We've supposedly "won" free agency, let's hope we win the draft. That, combined with our new look offense and the promise of Philbin continuing to evolve with Tannehill could make some waves in 13.
It's an exciting time to be Dolphins fan!

I know nothing about the history of this forum and I've pretty much been peeking in from the outside but I have enjoyed reading the last couple of months. I've learned a lot about the money in particular that I did not know before and it's good to get different takes on players. It is a very exciting time to be a Dolphins fan. I cannot remember the last time I was this hopeful.

CrunchTimeretired_adminIt was a hard core group of members and staff that made their way over to this site from Finheaven .Fortunately we have been able to stay afloat with the support of our members joining our Club membership without badgering our members to do so. The quality of that forum sells itself.Last night it was gratifying to see 42 Club members perusing and participating in that forum at the same time.:yes:
BTW most of us came over from Finheaven and there is no bitterness towards them.If there ever was any it was between the owners of the sites but I believe that has been overcome too.Many of our members participate in both forums.

Funny story, when FH went back online after the hack and we all switched back, it took me a while to figure out that most of the rock-star posters were gone.. A few months later when I logged back in here it was such a breath of fresh air.. Can't believe it's been 6 years. Hopefully the next 6 will be significantly better than the previous.

Same exact thing happened to me. When I discovered this site and realized that all of the posters had come over here I was so pumped. The club is definitely worth the price but even if I didn't use it, I'd still have a membership because it's important to support the site.

The only thing the other site has over this one is the name heaven because that is exactly what it Is for a fan. I was devastated at the split. Devastated. But its obvious this forum got the best of what once was. And what you all created then and now... I mean... to be proud doesn't cut in the least. It really is a beautiful thing. I've been away for a long time, in and out sporadically. And I might be gone tomorrow. But any time I hear news about the Dolphins I always think, "I wonder what they are saying about this in the forum."

SICKforum_veteranI grew big time on both sites. Have been married, laid off, re-hired, moved and had a son since this all began, and everyone here has helped me through all of it. I have met life long friends. I owe a lot to this place......Rock on!

I was so disenfranchised when the other site split, I honestly was done with fan forums.....
It was until my good friend Pariah, who will be with me tonight actually, told me this site was better than the last and the "good" guys from the other site are there.....so I joined....
It took me 3 years though........

well I sure hope we will have a knock out caliber draft . I 'm sick of having a sub par - no impact draft. we are long over due for a great draft.
BumrushsubscriberOne other thing to note that is amazing. If you went back to 07 this site would have many of the same members.. Not only the same members, but the same look and feel.. It hasn't devolved in to one big advertisement with 500 links.
Rocky RaccoonmoderatorI have zero bitterness towards FH and not sure why anyone else would, unless you were owners and part of the mess that came up. Most of us started there and there are still some great posters over there. I still lurk on FH from time to time but not too much because it's pretty chaotic. Way too many people.

Jt0323moderatorThis site has really come into its own! It's hard to compete with a successful site with FinHeaven, thats been around for so long. Posters already have time and dedication put into that site, and to see a lot of them give that up and post over here is awesome! You have people with 20K post over there just give it all up and start something new with thephins.com. I remember when we didn't have a name for the site, and now I can't think of a better name then thephins.com. It just flows right off your tongue. George and Mal have done a lot of hard work to make this site function the way it does. Can't believe its been 6 drafts with this site! Can't wait to the day we all celebrate a super bowl with each other! Fins up!
