We look alright. Not too impressive first half IMO. The interior line is struggling. Donald Thomas is too upright and is letting defenders into his chest, Justin Smiley is getting no push nor is Grove, Grove is lumbering in the second level.

Good things its only the first pre-season game and not the third or fourth.

 

Chris Williams actually has a shot to make the roster.

 

Wow, where was the blocking there... yikes.

 

First apperance by our new Fullback. Seems like he can pass block.

 

Naah, I'm a Wake booster RB, what he is doing is merely raw talent, on the next series watch if he sets up in a 4 point stance, he drops his head like a sprinter instead of watching the ball being snapped, when he pressured Bouman, it was raw raw speed that did it.

A little polishing and he will be a diamond...watch..tons of room for improvement...he reminds me of the Eagles Dlineman like Cole, just an up the field beast.

To his credit, he comes in low, like the Steeler's James Harrison, a 6'6 tackle dealing with someone at their stomach level is a real problem for them., Big Jake folded Wake up like a crushed beer can, but Big Jake is Big Jake.

 

The Jags Qb looks shook, Wake put some fear in him...maybe

 

Oh man Williams was almost gone.

If Chris Williams determination was measured in height, he'd be amongst the tallest on team.

This Williams kid is electric, but man he needs to get a handle on the ball. He bobbled that one too. He's letting those punts get in and bounce on his chest.

 

That was awful tackling by JAX. That flat out sucked. Almost as bad as Sean Jones whiff on Julian Edelman.

True, and that 2'10ths of second may be the only difference between a TD and a punter tackle.

 

The good thing, this can be coached/trained. The better thing he got everything else you need in a returner. The best thing Ginn and Bess can focus on full time receiving. I'm ecstatic.
