Harvey at 32 would be crazy. Never would have expected him to fall. Groves might be there depending how worried teams are about his heart. I don't want a QB first day. Kevin O'Connell in the 6th!

Harvey could be gone, likely will be imo. Groves has received a lot of interest from the 49ers so theres a possibility. There was a report a couple weeks ago that Gruden of the Bucs may take Flacco with their first rounder. Out of all those, possibly only Henne could be left for us which I hope isn't the pick. Take someone in the later rounds like O'Connell.

If we somehow get a first round pic for Jason Taylor, this will end up being the best draft Miami has seen since we landed Dan Marino.

Question is who do we take at 26 if Jags deal it to us? I'm thinking Dan Connor.

My thought is that with whatever pick(s) Jason Taylor gets us; could we then package them with the 32nd and move down into the mid-first round when Harvey would be available?

I would hope we wouldn't trade up to take a QB.

That could be a good idea but my question is, if we get the Jags 26th overall pick AND we have the 32nd, what would you do?

If we can get a first for Jaason Taylor that would be great

Depending on how far you'd be willing to move up (Harvey being the most unlikely of the 4 to fall IMO) maybe you package 26 and 57 to move up to say, Carolina's spot. Then, you can still use 32 to move down and get more picks if need be. I would think that if they really wanted Henne, or some other QB, that he might fall to 32. I think Harvey would fill a greater need as a 3-4 OLB than another QB would at this point, purely my opinion, but that's just what I'd think/do.

Makes sense. Good post, thanks for 'splainin:up:. As for Carolina's spot, I know you were using them as an example but its unlikely. Lions are trying to trade down. Maybe they could be an option?

They very well could be. I mentioned Carolina because they've been rumored to really like Derrick Harvey and would very possibly take him if the OT's / Rashard Mendenhall are off the boards.

All things considered, my personal favorite would be Harvey, but it's more realistic for us to land Groves - which I wouldn't be dissapointed in at all.

If Ryan somehow ends up at the eight spot, they want to trade up according to some sites.

I've seen that too. Honestly, I think a year under Delhomme might do Ryan some wonders a la Carson Palmer under Kitna. Obviously, I don't think Ryan will fare as well as Palmer, but it'd serve him well.

I agree. Ryan is not as good as Palmer but could be a good QB in this league one day. As for him ending up in Carolina, I agree with you. I think that Delhomme will be gone after this year. Remember though, they have that young guy in Matt Moore who Ireland was a big fan of. If they take Ryan, dont be surprised if they cut Matt Moore and than he is snatched up by Ireland and co. The Cowboys tried to keep Moore on the practice squad but he failed to make it through the waiver wire when Carolina picked him up.

That's right. Nice call - totally forgot about him. Moore's the kid from Oregon State I believe isn't he?

Eh I dont blame BP going after Snyder to try and convince him to take JT. Snyder is a moron when it comes to trading draft picks.
