ughhhh I don't like this...I mean he already played another marvel character, the human torch...just seems weird to me.:no:

 

Personally I'm not really sure it matters who plays Captain America, because I don't think the movie will be anything special or good (it will probably be along the lines of the F4 films where it's more watered down and geared towards kids). But then again I've never been a big fan of Captain America.

But yeah it's probably a bad casting choice although I wasn't a fan of any of the rumored names involved anyway.

 

They could have done alot worse!

 

He can pull the physical look of the character at least.

I just hope they stay the course and tie it all together in a good Avengers movie as that was one of my favorite series along with Iron Man and Thor in their own lines. The Defenders and Doctor Strange were among my favorites too but I doubt those would get done. Well maybe Strange since they have done a couple movies on him in the past one animated and one made for TV about a million years ago(late 70's I think).

Also being the fanboy that I am even though they weren't great I would mind seeing more Fantastic Four flicks.

it is gonna be VERY hard to do a Captain America movie and not screw it up. this doesn't help IMHO.

then again, i was waaaaay off in my pessimism about Iron Man, so i'll keep my fingers crossed i am wrong again.

 

I'm shocked Channing Tatum didn't get the role.

 

Agreed as he definitely has the look of a solider and a star. I wonder if he couldn't do it because of a contract with G.I. Joe or if he was really even in the running for the role instead of a rumored name.

 

he certainly has the dance moves

 

I am waiting for names. I think they made a great pick and he will be good for the movie.
