CFLer Mark Restelli gets a mention on a very good point, the Safety class for us is a bit thin.
And Hartline:
"....Brian Hartline, on fans booing Chad Henne and the team at Monday night’s practice: “If we let outside people affect us, then we’re not a good team in general. If you win, the criticism goes away. If you win the Buffalo, Detroit games [last season], we’re not having this conversation. … We’re going to be a better team.”

I can't help but feel this Wilson is going to be a real gem and one of the best steals of the last draft. I can't wait to watch him play in the preseason.

I liked Sparano's comment about Joe Colombo. -
What is really cool is N Carroll and Jimmy Wilson are great prospects and we already have VD and SS, and Allen and Sapp, most Cb groups run 3 deep and then have some scrub at the #4 and #5 slots. -

Woodhead and Welker and Co are not going up against the plodding Crowder and Dobbins.djphinfan likes this. -
All this talk so far about Wilson is very good news for us. Can't wait to see how he does on game day when the preseason rolls around. I'd say if he keeps it up and performs well, we can get rid of Benny Sapp, who IMO is nothing but a liability.

I think we are all hoping that we stole a guy in Wilson. The fact is you just don't know until we have some real game time. However, I find the early reports on him very encouraging and I give them a little more weight than typical early reports cause they are in pads this year. He doesn't appear to be one of those guys that only shine before the pads go on.
It is very encouraging that he can at least CATCH the ball! Maybe he can teach those other guys back there that trick! -

Secondary depth is good. It was a strength last year. Miami used a lot of 4-CB/2-Safety stuff in Nickel situations in 2010.
My question is, with the depth in the secondary only looking even better, why swap out Crowder for Burnett? Burnett being a coverage specialist suggests Nolan wants to take a DB off the field in those nickel situations and keep his two ILBs Burnett and Dansby on full time.
I don't know if that's a great thing because we seem to have a lot of good players in the secondary between Vontae, Sean, Nolan, Will Allen, this new guy Jimmy Wilson perhaps, Yeremiah and Clemons, Reshad, etc. -
