After watching James' highlights from some of CKs analysis..I came away seeing a wall at RT. Just shut people down. My question..and maybe it doesnt translate ..but what if he had that same ability shutting defenders down as a LT. How much was it that he just played RT as to why some saw lower grades on him.

Pre-draft there was some chatter that he could possibly fill in at LT (which with Albert's penchant for missing games...might come in handy). But it's one of those things that he would have to get snaps for us to see.

RTs are valued less by conventional thinking.. even though grear pass rushers are coming off the right side these days (Wake, Clay Matthews, Von Miller, Mario Williams, Peppers, Mathis, Kerrigan, etc).

Pass pro is critical from a RT these days... it's no longer a run blocking position.

Some guys can't switch sides, and James has no college experience doing so. It's unlikely they drafted him with that in mind, but it's theoretically possible.

Keep him at RT. LT is set for a couple years leaving us time to find a replacement for Albert.

If it aint broke dont fix it
