Where's the love for the Mariners? Dustin Ackley leads the bigs with homers and Felix Hernandez was sharp as always. Ichiro checks it with four slap singles and the Mariners win in 11, 3-1.

Go M's! We'll see you tomorrow at 2 a.m. for an encore.

As a life long Mariner's fan Im enjoying being in 1st place, seeing as it will be short lived.

Not to be a negative nancy but if things go as bad as they could, we need to enjoy Felix Hernandez being on our team while we can.

Our pitching staff will be top 10, our hitting will be bottom 5. Just how it is every year, but Ichiro sure looked good wich is a good sign.

If you've heard anything the Mariners organization or Felix himself have said about the situation, that will never happen. Jack Z says he has no interest in dealing his ace and Felix said Seattle is his favorite city and he never wants to leave. They confoundedly debunk that rumor every single year.

And the lineup is going to be a lot better. Dustin Ackley is the best all around hitter we've had since Junior and we haven't had the power that Smoak and Montero offer as 4-5 hitters in a while either.

While I HATED when the Red Sox went over to Japan to play 2 games in 2008 and it's a complete pain for the players/teams having to go on the trip, I think it's a great idea in terms of marketing the game to countries outside of North America. MLB should be doing this every other year in different countries (the next stop should either be somewhere in Europe, China or Austrilla) to gain global expose and to try to get people excited about the sport in those developing baseball countries. It can only help the long term health of the game.

And really there's no other way the MLB can schedule these games without doing it the way they do it.
