[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SoA9vuq2CE"]YouTube- Why Do You Train? Jared Odrick DT[/ame] Well, it's early summer and a slow period of time, so this little diddy is all I got. I "think" Veterans come down to the Miami Area to workout while waiting for a call from a NFL club as I seem to recall Ty Law, Sam Madison and Troy Vincent working out down there last season. Not certain if they were working at Velocity or not.
I can't watch the video at work. But what exactly is Velocity Performance? Regardless it sounds like something good to get him reading for Training Camp.
That is a very good thing for Jared. Now get your agent talking to Parcells /Ireland and lets get a contract signed.
Thanks. That indeed should make him a better athlete. He should be even more dangerous with that kind of training. Good post.
Odrick may be the one rookie to win a start this year. they won't ask him to do anything he hasn't done @ the collegiate level he possesses the physicality & talent to step up in the NFL immediately got to coach him up & push him to the limits in training camp
I hope he is also working out at the Dolphins facility every day too. Kid will need to put on some more muscle to compete in the NFL in his rookie season.
Odrick moves so well for a guy who is 6' 5", 300+. His speed and balance are great, but his body control is unbelievable for a guy his size. He probably needs to get stronger, but, man... he going to be a great player.
2 things i'am lookin at when it comes to Odrick this camp, 1 being his body, and figuring out where he's at Muscular wise, and How I would train his body for the position his talent best serves him at. 2 is, will his violent hands translate into real pass rush on the outside...he's a very large defensive end, quite unprescedented I think, gotta see how he moves in space, he can't just fight with his hands, I also worry about his quickness out there on the edge.
I think you will be shocked because there is no reason to think he would be an immediate starter other than hype & banter
