Get rid of Cameron he has done nothing for this team the players hate him. Bring garett back give him the HC job at last i like his offense his ofense we have is terriblewe dont do anything, its so predictable.
-
He will probly be just like Cam a good OC but not a HC
-
Cameron was an elite OC much like Garrett is now.
Be careful what we wish for. -
I wouldn't be against it if Cam were let go. I know people will make the comparisons to Cam because they were both successful OC's, but almost every coach was a coordinator at some point. He isn't the sexy name that Parcells or Cowher would be, but I think he is a great young mind and I think he could be a nice HC one day.
-
Garrett is a boom-or-bust guy, probably just like Cameron. Certainly a good offensive tactician, a great football mind that is destined to get a shot at head coach somewhere, but does he know how to lead and inspire players to keep working hard through adversity?
I wouldn't be mad if we rolled the dice on Garrett, but I would push for Singletary personally for the leader attributes IF you could good coordinators around him. -
I would love to get Singletary as the HC ! He's definately a great motivator and his reputation alone speaks volumes. I think that the Falcons will probably try to give him a great shot at their HC position though...

garrett comes when parcells comes

I don't want another idiot coach that has no experience in head coaching. I think the fins have had enough people like that. It has to be either Marty, Bill Parcells or Bill Cower. Any one else is not acceptable in my opinion. Also you have to fire Mueller as well. I will never forgive him for passing on Quinn for Ginn. That showed me right there that Mueller is clueless. Also last years first rounder instead of Donte Whitner.

From what I've heard, lots of the Dallas players are giving Garrett their approval. Has never been a HC before but then again, has never failed as a HC before like Cameron did at Indiana.
-
As far as a new coach, I don't want a bandaid in Marty or Bill Parcells. Neither would be long term answer as they are both very late in their coaching careers. I could see Bill as a GM to help rescue this sunken ship. I would love Cowher but I see no way of luring him to an 0-16 team in shambles from a cushy job at the network. He'll coach again, but why on earth pick this team? He'll get a shot at a team much closer to winning than this one. The likely scenario is that we will end up with a coordinator again. I do like Singletary as I bet he would lite a fire under a team that now appears to take losing lightly. Garrett is a good candidate but I too worry that he could just as easily be our next Cam. Other guys could be Ron Rivera, Russ Grimm, and Maurice Carthon (whom Parcells loves).
Wildcard is Pete Carroll as Wayne seemed to be hot for him last year. NOT a good choice for a vet team but he really seems to relate well to young players. If we continue to go young (which we should) he may not be a bad choice. -
Garret is an OC for a great offense with stud playmakers, much like CAM was in Sandiego.

Anyone putting Cam and Jason in the same line of thought quite frankly have 0 clue what they are talking about. He's being groomed to become Dallas HC. In fact he would have been Dallas' head coach if Miami had balked at giving him up. Jones was that serious about having him. Parcells has called Jason a natural future head coach.
Quite frankly there's nothing enticing Miami could offer to draw him away from Dallas. Hell Jones would fire Wade in a heartbeat and replace him with Jason. -
Pete Carroll certainly was not a great coach in the NFL, but lets not call him horrible. He took the Pats to the playoffs twice and never lost 13 consecutive games.

Jason Garrett is the only coach that would excite me.

There is NO WAY Garrett comes to Miami next year, the year after and probably not for at least 5 years, unless they go to the SB w/ him as head coach and then hes in Dallas til he wants to leave. Jones loves him, he wants to be in Dalls, thats HIS DREAM JOB, his words, not mine. -
I dont think that Jason Garrett will leave Dallas. JMHO, but he is in a dream position for him and knows that he is being groomed to take over as the HC of the team from Wade eventually. Why leave and go to a team that needs time to build through the draft and is probably 3-4 years from contending.

parcells has already said garrett is a head coach

How about we hire someone with a successful head Coaching background for a change.
