Good to know that JT is pretty modest... It sucks that things went down the way they did, but it happens..

Yeah. He's been there so he's trying to give someone else the go. I don't think he'll get to have a say of whether or not he's nominated over the other guy, though. I know players can op not to go if they don't want to and he may choose to do that.

players can turn down nominations to the pro bowl, and the next deserving candidate will get in. all will be fine if he chooses to do that route

He's not going no matter what. Fan voting is only 1/3 and there is no way coaches and players are voting him in.

Jason Taylor is a good guy, contrary to some of the crap that used to be spewed about him around here.

Tells like it is, plain and simple. Much derided this offseason here, and undeservedly so IMO.

Can't still understand how people here can be so forgiving of a guy who never gave this 2008 team a chance this year. He is getting what he deserves.

For all the good he did for years when with the Miami Dolphins, he deserves the fate he is getting with the 'Skins. He did everything he could to get himself traded, and did everything he could to destroy his trade value. That I cannot forgive. I am a Miami DolFan, and that was disloyalty at its most selfish. He could have worked with Parcells to get himself traded, but chose to do it publically and "in your face" to Parcells, and then complained when Parcells treated him icily at their March or April meeting.

I just don't understand some folks here willing to overlook that and wonder where your true loyalty lies. I have been a DolFan since the team's inception when I was 6 years old. I have lived nearly all of my 48 years a DolFan, and a DolFan only. Maybe many others here have had past loyalties to other teams and don't understand the deep disloyalty and hurt his actions last Spring had to those who live and breathe Dolphins football. He hurt our team as we should have gotten a # 1 for his talent, and we couldn't because of his actions. That I cannot forgive.

I won't apologise for my hatred of Jason Taylor. He spurned us, and was disloyal.

I feel like a cheated on lover. :tantrum:

No he is getting what he deserves. No shot at the playoffs, and a ruined season. He did everything he could to hurt the Miami Dolphins after he had decided he would play elsewhere. I have loyalty to the Dolphins and no single player, and never will under the same circumstances.

Zach was given his walking papers early on by the new admin because they knew they wouldn't have a place for him on this team. However Taylor would have had a place on this team and that is why he was not jettisoned when they got rid of Zach. Taylor had a contract with the Miami Dolphins, and he should have fulfilled it and then taken his shot at Free Agency. Then I would have no qualms about any of his actions. That is why I have such hard feelings about Jason Taylor, it was all about him, and nothing about the Dolphins, the team he "says" he still roots for. Then why did he do everything he could to get out of here and why did every action of his last Spring say he had no more loyalty to the Dolphins ? :tantrum:

Meh, I still don't get the hate. The man's career is coming to an end, he took a shot with another team in the hopes of winning it all. I don't blame him for that. The whole controversy was blown out of proportion due to the media exaggerating the situation every chance they got.

Let's be honest, how many thought, long before this season began, that we would have a better shot than damn near any other team at the playoffs?

He gambled, the Skins thing isn't working out so well, and we have exceeded everyone's (except the most die-hard homers) expectations so far.

JT gave us a lot of good years, and I wish him well.

EXACTLY!! Some people just can't let it go. That's too bad. JT will be in the ring of honor, and these guys had better get used to it. JT was the best D-lineman this team has ever had, and arguably he is one of the best ever to play that position. Why begrudge a man who wanted a fresh start and did not want to waste his final 2 years rebuilding...for the 5th time. NOBODY would have guessed that we'd have the season that we are having. NOBODY, not even all of the homers out there.
