JT just crushed Brady, forcing a fumble and essentially icing the game. And the Dolphins are in first place!! Thanks JT!

    With love,

    Dolphin fans!

Did he suffer a career ending injury or something? if not then I don't understand the point of this thread.

The man always plays well against Brady, lets hope he vanishes against Henne.

If the Jets aren’t a playoff team as we all suspect, then any damage they can do to the Patriots’ overall record only helps us.

He will, he'll be lost on Long Island all day.

If JT lines up on the weak side then the Dolphins game plan should be to run off left tackle all day.

Made my day.... I admit I HATED him (for his talk against the fans) for years but seeing him do that on Sunday brought him one step closer to becoming a Jet.

Hey, there's no reason to insult the man! :tongue2:

Obviously, it's good for Miami since it puts us in first place in the division. Anybody who can't see that is just to blinded by their hate of JT.

I dunno. If I were a Miami fan I would have rather of had the Jets fall two back with the opportunity to put them 3 back on Sunday. Sole possession of 1st place in week 2 is not as important as that. Just my 2 cents.

I see the Pats as a bigger threat for the division. I believe that Sanchez will be a good QB, but will still have too many up and down games this year.

As long as the Pats have Brady/Moss/Welker, they will be a threat to score points, but their defense is pretty suspect.

Look at it this way. Let's say the Jets lost to NE. You would have one of two scenarios come this Monday morning (and I am going to give the Patriots an automatic win over a putrid Buffalo team this weekend. Lock that one up).

    Miami beats Jets:
    Miami 3 - 0
    NE 2 - 1
    Jets 0 - 3
    Buff 0 - 3

The unthinkable happens and the Jets beat Miami ;)
    Miami 2-1
    NE 2 - 1
    Jet 1 - 2
    Buff 0 - 3

Both of those scenarios aren't *that* bad and you retain 1st place no matter what.

With the Jets winning last Sunday, an unthinkable Miami loss this weekend puts them in 2nd place (by virtue of tiebreaker), with a game against NE up next, while the Jets play Buffalo.

It really doesn't matter, but I still think it would have been better for your team had the Jets lost. The only negative would have been that a Jets loss would have made them extremely desperate for a win this Sunday night.

Beat a winning team before crow too loudly about winning the division with a 2-0 record against two 0-2 teams.

Well we have to wait until the Pats game to play a winning team.

A team has to be above .500 to be considered a winning team.

I agree that the Pats D is lousy. But I also think the Jets O is lousy. In an offensive league I think the odds are better that the Pats will end up with the better record.

Not for nothing, and I think the Jets offense is average at best, but if the Jets offense is lousy, what does that make the Dolphins offense? Anemic? 10 points a game, with two offensive TD's isn't exactly lighting it up. By your own reasoning, the Pats will end up with a better record than your team as well.

The Dolphin's offense has not produced but I believe thats b/c of an overly conservative game plan. I can't say they were necessarily wrong b/c they did win, but its not one I would have used against Minny. I simply have more faith that Henne can produce consistently when called upon in his third year than I do in Sanchez in his second year. And I'm one of the few here who thinks that Sanchez has more upside than Henne. I just don't think that Sanchez is likely to be the better QB this season.

Did you watch the Monday night Ravens debacle? It doesn't get any more conservative than that. I think the Jets threw the ball once on first down until that last "drive".

I think the Jets and Dolphins both have pedestrian offenses. That doesn't mean that neither is capable of putting up some points on any given Sunday, but they are both built to win low scoring defensive games.

Agreed. I just think that for those games where the QB is needed to step up and win it, that Henne is more likely to be capable this season.

    You are 1-1.

    Buffalo was 0-0.

So either you are both winning teams (making your previous statement wrong) or you were both non-winning teams (making this statement wrong).

So which one is going to be?

    Buffalo is now 0-2.

    Vikings now 0-2.

The question is, have you played a decent team yet?

I think the Jets are decent, so we shall see on Sunday.

So since the Vikings lost to the reigning champs and the Fins, they aren't a quality team? I seem to recall a whole bunch of folks thought they would reach the SB this year, that seems like they ought to at least be thought of as 'decent'.. :shifty:
