Jason Taylor prefers Miami return

Free agent Jason Taylor reportedly doesn't want to sign with the Patriots nearly as much as he wants to return to Miami.
The Dolphins are warming up to the idea but Taylor would have to accept less money, perhaps a one-year deal with incentives. He would also be limited to playing on passing downs in Miami's 3-4 defense. Taylor is apparently willing to make the sacrifice to play closer to his family.

Dolphins coach Tony Sparano, on a Tuesday morning radio show hosted by former Dolphins tight end Joe Rose, said the front office would revisit Taylor's availability this week. Sparano's tone sounded borderline apathetic, but there's a real possibility a deal could be struck.

I'm curious as to why it will only be a passing down deal. JT can do everything.

Its going to be hard for them to keep him off the field if he returns anywhere close to what he used to be here. He can be such a disruptive force in the opposing backfield.
