I think how good JT was in dolphins history is sometimes overlooked, we literally watched the greatest all time Dolphins defensive player, and I thought he started slowly, but then came on towards the middle and end of the yr.
I hope he gets his two sacks to catch Strahan, 3 would be great because one of strahan's sacks was the bogus one on Favre to set the single season sack record.

I'd rather lose and see JT get two sacks then win and see him get 0 or only 1. Definitely will be paying attention to him when he's on the field.
He is two sacks away from tying Strahan for 5th All time! Get it against the Jets! -

Dolphins have been here since the 60's, and of all the of the players to play on some great defenses, JT ranks as the greatest of them
That is quite the accomplishment.dolphindebby likes this. -
Would be nice to see him go out with a bang. I've really enjoyed watching him play over the years.

Wow... do the Packers or Eagles consider Reggie White a "traitor"? Did San Fran consider Montana a "traitor"? Nope.
JT wasn't given an offer to stay... he was given an offer to go to another team, what was he supposed to do?Puka-head, Section126, dolphindebby and 11 others like this. -
Would love to see him get Strahan this Sunday. -

The Jets were the one team that really wanted him for their team and Taylor still wanted to play football. For these reasons, I don't blame him at all for playing for the Jets last season.
He is one of my favorite Dolphins of all time and I am glad he was able to return to the Dolphins for his last season in the NFL. -
JT was a great player in his day, and is still pretty good.
shame this organization failed him, Zach, Pat, Sam, etc. -
I Will miss you JT. I hope he gets 3+ sacks! You know he's going to play hard. And you hope, Bowles lets him get a ton of snaps.

He didn't want to leave Miami. Dolphins didn't want him. Jets were the only team to offer. And they reached the AFC title game, the furthest JT has ever been as a player. I believe he made the right decision.
I honestly think he could play another season. He's been pretty good this year. But I'm also a fan of guys going out while they're still productive rather than the game passing them by.
And I really hope he gets at least one sack.Puka-head, Section126, dolphindebby and 5 others like this. -
JT is my all time favorite defensive player. He gave us 13 years in a phins uniform, many of them pro bowl caliber. One day he will go in to the Dolphins ring of honor and possibly the Hall of Fame. Thankful for the great memories he gave especially at his peak and wish him the best!

But, I think if he believes it is time, he should go out while he still can get it done, I watched Reggie White play in Carolina and he was just sad to watch. -

Thanks for the reply (and your offer bro), but I'm still diggin' the "way up firm and high" chick I stole from you a while back. :wink2:
All kidding aside, I hope you and yours are having a happy holiday season. All the best. :knucks:BleedinGreenNC likes this. -

Many of us, myself included, thought he was an A-hole for going off to Dancing With The Stars instead of participating in the off-season conditioning program when the Tuna came aboard. Having lived rhrough the results of the Tuna, today I wonder who the A-hole really was.

Can't put it any better than Boik did. Very grateful as a Dolphins fan to watch Jason Taylor all these years in aqua and orange. Special player.

I don't hold any ill will towards JT for going where we felt like he was wanted. That's not to say I agree with his decision. But, I'm sure there are/were a lot of things that went on behind closed doors that we will never know. Besides, the man still wanted to play, and like I said...went where he felt wanted.
All that said, it was one lousy season, it didn't get him a ring, and it's water under the bridge as far as I am concerned. How many times did he make a play in a game that helped us win? How many seasons did he give this organization (and under how many different coaches and FO's)? He was never my favorite, but I can at least recognize what he has contributed to this team over the years.
Thanks for the memories JT. I hope you have a BIG day on Sunday to help us beat a hated divisional rival. -
