He said on his last show that isn't going to happen. And the way he does his show is just who he is and he can't change that.
we'll see. and i cant believe i missed the last show! my mind went blank and when i remembered it was too late
Letterman earned major points for that interview with JP. He was killing him. I don't know if anyone else would of handled it better. I know Conan said he can't change, but he isn't bringing late night to the Tonight show... There's a lot of crap he gets away with at 12:30. Things like wasting a minute with Frankenstein, masturbating bear, the "I don't want to live" character, walker texas ranger clips, etc... So much of his success is making irrelevant and stupid bits funny. Anyone know of Robert Smigel is going with Conan? He's the head writer, triumph, and does the celebrity impressions during conan's "live from" segments. He needs to be there...
exactly. conan can say whatever he wants but the bosses are gonna make him clean the show up a little
Andy Richter is going to be back on the saw, albeit in a different capacity than before. But at least he'll be around again. I too worry about Conan having to tame down his show a bit for an earlier audience. I'm just not sure Leno's audience would appreciate the masturbating bear and coked out werewolf. I hope it works out though. I know I'm looking forward to seeing a live taping when i get the chance. http://tv.yahoo.com/late-night-with...rg:20090224:tv_tonight_show_richter__ER:76950
Is this confirmed? I love Andy Richter, the guy is funny as hell. I have always felt that Conan was better when Andy was on the show. It would be sweet to see Andy somehow involved with the show again!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Richter#The_Tonight_Show Just found confirmation. Andy is going to be the announcer! YES! I hope he has a bit larger role than just your average announcer... I feel kinda bad for Joel Goddard, though. He was a great announcer.
I'm not exactly thrilled with the return of Andy. I thought Conan did better without him tbh. Not only that, but losing Joel blows. Joel is consistently one of the funniest characters on the show.
