i know he's on the practice squad. i wanted to say. foster is considered a WR/QB out of Georgia Southern (I think). My point is with this wildhog/cat (which is it?) formation having a RB back taking the direct snaps this is something foster could do. have you guys seen his foster for payton you tube video? Well in Sparano's presser he said they originally brought guys in with this package in mind, so you gotta figure foster was one of those guys. I'd say ronnie and ricky did a fine job with it, though, maybe instead of putting penny out wide, we could put foster out there in time. Would give an added dimension if he did an end around and then kept it or threw it.
I would like to have him on the active roster! He would be great at those trick plays for us and i would like to see him as our kick/punt return specialist! (my #1 option is still Ginn!) Bess is ok, but he scares nobody! Ginn and Foster would be the much better option and could be a scary combo!
you need to have pennington in the huddle and out wide though because then the defense cant assume the play is coming. u take chad off the field and the d can set the proper personnel and prepare
true, but could they just huddle with pennington, then when they break huddle and he goes wide, he quickly runs off the field and foster runs in to take his spot? he'd be at the sideline just about anyway... is that legal?
But you still can't take Chad off the field. You take him off the field and defense will know its coming. Honestly, I can't foresee us using this formation too often going forward. It was good to catch New England off guard, but if we try that against the Chargers in two weeks, something tells me that defense will squash it dead. They may try it once or twice, but I don't think we will see it six times in a game again unless a team is clearly inept on defense. ...so maybe against the Chiefs...
the foster kid can throw man...i wanna see me some of that. maybe were just gettin a little carried away, i want smashmouth too
Correct - he was signed to the practice squad after clearing waivers, but then cut to make way for Toribio. Report from Sept. 2nd Dolphins waive Joey Thomas; sign former Packers safety -- South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com "Also waived was former Georgia Southern receiver Jayson Foster, who was added to the practice squad on Sunday. Replacing Foster on the practice squad is defensive tackle Anthony Toribio, an undrafted rookie free agent who was in camp with the Dolphins before being waived this past Saturday."
