I got a buddy in Montana that said the former Grizz OL has just been signed by us. Anyone hear anything about that yet?
He's impressed by the kid, said he's a big boy. I guess he heard it locally on the radio. I've been googling and haven't seen anything.
I'm not liking what I'm finding on this kid He was a part of the Oklahoma Sooners before being kicked out of the program due to accepting money for a job that he never attended. This is the same incident that Rhett Bomar got in trouble for. And he transferred to Montana where he was arrested for DUI more than once. SI Draft Profile Some more on him http://www.crimsonandcreammachine.com/story/2007/7/12/174041/443 http://blog.seattle-duiattorney.com/archives/297 If they did indeed sign him, what happened to the good character guys that Ireland said we wanted on this team?
Past is past. I did Google some naughty stuff about him too, it's a little worrisome, but: a) he doesn't cost a draft pick b) he'll be able to come on board fairly cheap, I'm sure 3) if he does not work out we have nothing to lose.
Would be another Montana product to join the team, Carpenter and Hilliard from last year worked out pretty good.
Offensive linemen with the kind of attitude it takes to play in the NFL if they aren't athletic freaks are hardly ever altar boys.
you've been googling your what now because he's a big boy??? OHHHHHHHHKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
center/guard, ex-captain, accalades, good size (6-3 300lbs) 1) coachable? obviously the FrontOffice thinks so 2) youthful indiscretions? probably 3) immediately contributes to the team? probably not speculation: needs to get stronger, learn the system & prove himself to the team Quinn is a developomental project not entirely unlike Murphy.
Lineman J.D. Quinn agrees to deal with Dolphins http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5gkOrh2czyjr9vcsWUO8lDnXnO9XAD982SNJO1 It would be great if he has cleaned up his act and lived up to that 3rd round potential that some had projected him to be, then from there...who knows?
