It's cool. We'll come back and wrap this up, all in time for the NASCAR race.
Uhh... Come on guys, we're running out of time here.
Zuerlein can make a 66, right?!

Good thing he took the better job, huh?
So now we're stuck with an unproven guy at HC, huh?Dolfan330, Pandarilla, Bpk and 1 other person like this. -
You Fisher haters are pretty hilarious. Dead wrong... but, entertaining.

Tell me exactly what I'm wrong about? Because I can make you a laundry list of why Fischer is a very mediocre coach.

I find it extremely funny that many fans on this forum believed the Dolphins would have been 4-1 if Carpenter had made his kicks against the Jets and Cardinals. Yet today these same fans fail to recognize that the Rams completely outplayed the Dolphins the entire game but lost because their FG kicker missed three FG's.
I am happy the Dolphins won today, but the Dolphins were extremely lucky. The couldn't run the ball or defend the pass. Tannehill was under pressure the entire game and the Dolphins so called best receiver, Hartline, caught exactly zero passes.
The Rams were 2-14 last season and the Dolphins were 6-10. Therefore this would show that Fisher has done an excellent job in coaching this team. Especially when you consider the fact that the Rams best receiver and two of their starting offensive linemen were out of this game.
The Dolphins won today and they should be congratulated for that. Whether they were the more talented team is still up for debate.

Okay let's play that game.
The Rams TD was actually illegal. Bradford very obviously fumbled BEFORE the goal line which results in a dead ball. You can't advance a fumble into the endzone.
The refs screwed the pooch on the WR fumble as well which swung field position by over 50 yards.
The Rams didn't outplay us, we beat them senseless and the refs tried their very hardest to let them back into the game.
That was some terrible clock management by Fisher to end the game.
Instead of trying to convert on 4th and 2 and play on, he bleeds the clock, burns his last timeout and opts for a 66-yard FG attempt. A 66-yard attempt by a rookie who'd missed his last two kicks in this game.
Fisher's clearly got them on the right track. But he cost them a better shot at tying/winning that game.
I think Philbin is proving to be a very good NFL head coach. I think Fisher is already a top-5 NFL head coach. This game came down to poor officiating benefiting the Rams and 3 missed FGs benefiting the Dolphins.
I'm glad the Phins came out with a win. Good game.
At this point, I'd have been happy with either coach. I'm more happy about getting Tannehill, who had a rating of 111.9 today.
This was a terribly coached game by both teams.
How exactly did the Dolphins beat the Rams senseless and yet the Rams had twice as much offensive yardage as the Dolphins. I agree that some of the calls by the Ref's were very questionable, but that doesn't change the fact fact the Rams played a much more physical game than the Dolphins today.
The fact is that the Dolphins couldn't consistently run the ball and Tannehill was forced to throw short passes because he was under constant pressure throughout the game.
As I stated before, I give the Dolphins all the credit in the world for winning a game in which they were outplayed for the majority of the game. These are the type games that the Dolphins have always found a way to lose in recent years. The fact that they didn't play well, yet they still won the game is a positive, not a negative.
If you don't recognize that the Rams were the more physical team team and they outplayed the Dolphins on the line of scrimmage, for the majority of the game. I have to wonder exactly what game you were watching.

I think the Rams have alot of talent no doubt, my main concern coming into the game was that Fisher had the extra days to prepare, never under estimate that. I dont know if JF will ever get the rams to a SB but i do know he is turning that team into a dangerous one to face each week.

There was a sack, it would've been longer than 4th and 2
Fisher WHO? Seriously. Its gone. Good luck to Rams. Decent Team. Im not bothered with the ifs and maybes. Im on the Philbin bandwagon. Dont know what hes saying at halftime but players are listening. Good stuff.

Fisher is not that great, he can put together a solid team, but nothing else, he coach the Titans forever, but never got to the SB, even with Eddy George and McNair, not even close to be one of the top 5 coaches JMHO, taking the job with the Rams instead of the Dolphins was because of the weakest Division and less pressure to win in ST Louis then Miami
LMAO!!
You might wanna brush up on your Superbowl history, buddy. Hahahahaha... too funny...
You dominate the entire game, get the refs calls going your way, and yet can't beat a team with less talent?
I sooo want Fisher as my HC.

A 65 yard FG. :lol::lol::lol::lol:
Effing hilarious.
Just like the Dolphins the Rams losing the turnover battle had so much more to do with them losing than their field goal kicker missing long kicks.
First of all, Fisher did indeed take the Titans to a Super Bowl. Second, the NFC West is a far tougher conference right now than the AFC East. The Rams may be the worst team in the NFC West right now and they are certainly a much better team than the Bills and possibly the Jets.
I guess your lack of knowledge of the teams in the Rams division was the reason you made such an absurd statement.

I agree. I never blamed Carpenter for the teams losses to the Jets and Cardinals. I felt the Dolphins had plenty of reasons for those losses, including turnovers. I was merely pointing out that when the other teams kicker misses FG's which would have won the game, none of the Carpenter haters mention this.
The Rams didn't lose today because of their FG kicker either. They lost because they couldn't score more then one TD all day, after completely dominating the ballgame for most of the game.
IMO the Rams were more physical, but also made more mistakes. The refs bailed them out on that WR fumble. Mistakes like that kill you and absolutely have to be factored into who played the better game. I would say the right team won.
As for Fisher, I see him as a very good coach. I think Fisher's style gets you regular season wins, but I don't think his conservative style is as conducive to winning championships as a more innovative passing offense is. I love how Philbin has innovated our practices and I see no coaching area where I would rate Fisher above Philbin. I wanted Philbin, back when most were pushing Cowher, Gruden and Fisher and I haven't seen any reason to change my opinion.

I see a lot of bickering in this thread.
We won, **** everything else.
Jets, colts, titans!?
I was there with you, ftr. Also was right there with you with wanting Tannehill in the draft.
Fisher was the very symbol of mediocrity. He is to coaching what Fiedler was to QBing....smart, tough but average without the ability to go the extra mile.
first&goal, djphinfan, gunn34 and 1 other person like this.
Your stance amazes and confuses me. Regardless of their kicker the game would have been a blow out if we had half the bad calls go our way. The bad calls were the reason they were in it AT ALL. They would have been held to ONLY fgs if it wasnt for getting molested via calls
I think he is conservative right now because the strongest part of his team is his defense. The Rams were without their top receiver and two of their starting offensive linemen today. I think Fisher is smart enough to realize that the NFL today is a pass happy league. In fact Bradford passed for over three hundred yards today.
The Rams have two #1 draft picks in next years draft. I expect them to draft a top tier WR with one of those picks and that Fisher will eventually run a more wide open offense, once he gets the players on the roster who can open up the field. Bradford can throw the ball deep very well. He just needs a deep threat to throw too.
I admit I wanted Fisher, but I am certainly happy with Philbin. I think both the Dolphins and the Rams hired excellent head coaches.
Fisher = Tony Sparano. True story.
they do have better talent… the Fins just have a better head coach…. lol
4th and 7 after the Vernon sack
You guys are acting like a bunch of jaded ex-girlfriends. Don't act shocked when Fisher winds up in the Hall of Fame. I ain't even kidding. :wink2:

Rams boards are this way ----->
I have never been a Fisher fan and I am glad he chose to go elsewhere. I am happy with Philbin, I think for the first time in a long time the Dolphins have a good head coach and a good starting QB.
You are certainly not suggesting the NFL HOF.
He's already in the mustache hall of fame.. and im not making that up. I bet my car and home that's the only one he stays in.
Come on Larry, a career .500 Coach with no rings ends up in the Hall?
