"Jeff Ireland already has the reputation in league circles for being a guy who 'we can't believe he still has his job.' One NFL owner on Ireland's continued employment, 'the craziest thing I've seen in the NFL, more absurd than Matt Millen.'"
- Mike Silver
Fire this inept ginger **** mother****er tonight please.

It really is embarrassing having that clown represent the team. His time has come.

Been here since 2010 when we went 7-9..and 2011 when we went 6-10...and 2012 when we went 7-9...and now when we're on the brink of being eliminated at 8-7...hey 8 wins improvement! Lifetime contract!

even if you hate Ireland personally and professionally comparing him to Matt Millen did is profoundly ignorant. You do a disservice to your argument with stuff like this.

The people who disagree with the job he has done are back (and some have never left). Trolls are people who come into threads discussing this issue, with nothing but company line bull**** to add to the conversation.MonstBlitz likes this. -
I'm loving it. We may actually turn the corner from these losses. Hopefully Dumbo does the right thing soon.

We lost again. Fireland. (until we win again, then he's a genius)

He's not on par with Millen.
He hired a poor coach. He's on the brink of 5 straight non-playoff seasons with 9-7 possibly his best year.
I think there is talent on this roster but you have to be held accountable. -

I've been Fireland through the Steelers and Patriots wins. I'm not a troll because I think Ireland is a mediocre GM who we will never be a contender with.
You don't get a pass for two wins. I'm sick of this team being mediocre, which we ARE. We won our Super Bowl last week by squeaking out a win over the battered Patriots at home. Big deal, we're the 2009-2011 Jets who played like a championship team against the Patriots and that was pretty much it. We're lucky the AFC is full of mediocrity this season. It won't stay that way for long, and we'll be right back down to a 6/7 win team if Ireland stays. -
it hurts my brain that he is still employed in this organization.

Word is Ross hired Philbin, Ireland wanted McCoy.... Which makes sense. In heritage and tendencies. You have Sparano, who isn't really even coordinator material... And now Philbin. Ireland is far from perfect but it's hard to judge him on W-L and ignore the poor coaching factor. -

oh Look , the jeff Ireland fan club is out in full force . Jeff the jerk , has a loyal following it sure smells like some fans just love that ******** no matter how bad the team is Jeff the jerk off gets another free pass. I hate that son of a ***** . why some of these fans love Ireland is beyond reasoning. I guess some fans just love underachieving and losing twice to the Bills good teams don't lose to bad teams . go ahead and make excusses for the jerkoff .
we were one play of losing three other games so for those that say this team has talent is full of ****.
next year when we go 7-9 or 8-8 the same jeff the jerk beleivers will say oh he isn't doing so bad. Guess what the window for winning the afc east is officially shut and I cant see it opening for Miami in the near future. I hope some fans get the balls and buy a big sign and it embarrasses Ross .
Jerk off Jeff Ireland is worthless and he is way worse then Matt Millen was . anybody that would defend Ireland really doesn't want the fins to be respectable -

Actually, he has been in that status ever since he came here. -
He hasn't made the playoffs in 5 straight years, think about that for a moment.

Jeff Ireland will NEVER be fired, EVER...
As Dolphins fans, we're screwed either way. If we keep Ireland, he'll continue to blast huge holes in the roster each year. If we fire him, based on our history he will probably get another GM job somewhere and become a huge, raving success. We are cursed.
It's a dumb thing to say. You can easily directly compare the two, sticking with vague and superficial is just lazy.
In this day and age of soundbites, they go for the biggest impact you can. You're compared to the best (or worst). It's just the way it is. Matt Millen has become synonymous with GMs with jobs nobody can figure out. The Fords stuck with Millen way way too long. It was astounding. People were wearing paper bags to the games. Hell we've had fireland banners and a freaking protest last year lol. Equal? No. Comparable? Sure, everything can be compared.
I think Ireland has done a much better job than Millen. Hell AJ Smith was ran out of town and he did a pretty good job too.
That is why everyone sounds so stupid.
That's quite lofty status...not sure if anyone really matches that: 7 yrs as GM: 31-84 record
