The typed out version, it is missing the question about Mike Nolan's role.

Keep in mind though, there are phinfans on dialup who can only really access the transcript and cannot watch the video. -
Q: Can you still patch it up with Porter?
Ireland: "There's always a chance. Right now, he's a player under contract on our roster. We'll be making those decisions."
But this one about Turner is interesting.
Q: How were WRs Patrick Turner and Brian Hartline sorted out as rookies last year?
Ireland: "We took Pat earlier than Brian. These players develop in different stages. We just had Patrick on the board higher. Brian came in and learned the offense very well and did a nice job of developing quickly and learned a couple different positions at the same time. Brian, getting the playing time that he did, is ahead of Patrick right now. Patrick has to step it up. He's a player for the future. We like the player very much. He's a big, huge target, which this quarterback needs. We feel very good about his development."
The last sentence here ??? -
What's really funny to me Xx is Ireland called Pat Turner..."...the player..."
That is what Tuna called Terrel Owens in Dallas when Jerruh hoisted TO on him. -
the bottom line is JP is gone sometime soon. -
I watched the vid, very enlightening. still have hopes Turner turns into that big, fast, #1 WR we all know how badly we need. Obviously Jeff Ireland and the rest of their staff know this just as much as we do. Good to hear they may still think Turner could turn out to be that guy.

Of course not, hes hoping for the best, saying the right things. Maybe its true, but this doesnt mean Turner is ready to be an all star. To pass on a potential all pro like Bryant because we have Pat Turner on the team would be ludicrous.
I still doubt Bryant even gets to us.dolfan7171 and Anonymous like this. -

The receivers in this class are too weak. They all have too many question marks. That's why Bryant is the clear cut number one receiver in this class. There are plenty of GOOD linebackers to choose from. Especially 3-4 SOLB.

its all GM speak. you cant read into anything he says. you can take his endorsement of Pat Turner as nothing more than a contingency plan in case we cant do better. I expect Turner to be on the practice squad or on another roster by the time the preseason starts.

I think it does explain our differences. I look at the draft and feel we have two rounds to get our LBs and the rest of the draft to find a WR while it seems like you feel just the opposite. Difference of opinion. Its what makes this site great :up:dolfan7171 and Anonymous like this. -

If we do sign Bryant, I wouldn't be opposed to an all linebacker draft. Sometimes that scenario does come to mind. Something like Mcclain/Graham/Jpp in round 1, Hardy/Sapp/Weatherspoon/Worilds/Spikes in round 2 and A.J Edds in round 3. We can then attack WR in next years class, which should be loaded.dolfan7171 and adamprez2003 like this. -
bryant & dez would work

Antonio and Dez would give nightmares to opposing defenses and put a smile on Henne's face. And that would close the Book on the Ginn story in Miami. We would still have a 2nd round choice to select a good linebacker with.
