Exactly. No idea how he is on an NFL roster. Makes an occasional play on ST's but on defense he is beyond horrible.

Be excited to see if Tripp gets some time. Been wanting to see what he can do.

 

Interesting on how you know that since he's had a total of 6 snaps all season.

FYI: Interesting little tidbit. All Miami LB's are positively rated by PFF this year. Not a single negatively rated LB except...................Ellerbe. Who managed to score a -1.1 in a mere 18 snaps. McCain is a -0.1 but I'm not going to split hairs over that one ;p

we didn't need our starting Lb's the first time we played the pansies.

 

he said he was ready for Gronk if the team needed him to cover him again in a locker interview i saw this week.

 

Double Gronk and stack the box and blitz on every passing play. D'ont let Brady play pitch and catch.

Another reason to start Blount in the fantasy playoffs.

I thought Tripp was out. Misi and Jenkins doubtful. Freeny out. McCain out.
We are down to Wheeler, Knott at OLB and Sheppard and Trusnik at MLB.

 

If he is healthy, I expect Tripp to be active.

 

Pretty sure he was talking about Trusnik not Tripp.

I had to read it a couple of times before I came to that conclusion though.

 

Don't think they have any choice, we are down to 3 LB's I think.
If he can't get active for this game and he his healthy that is not a good sign.

 

I'm not going to lie to myself, missing both Misi and Jenkins (who was a backup who played thebfirst game) is going to hurt badly.

I am hoping that Tripp and McCain can play and also play Jordan at 1 backer spot. Rotate in Kelvin Sheppard an Trusnick as needed for rest. Blitz the heck out of Brady and for our offense....should go to the 2 minute offense the whole game. With as bad as our D is hurting we have to outscore them..match score for score...it's our only hope.

 

While I don't disagree we should try some different things Sunday, What are the odds we do anything different than we have seen in 2+ yrs...can almost guarantee it....sadly

 

You know, you are probably right as Philbin just does not have the ability to think outside of the box!

 

I don't know what the excuse is for the staff to not have McCain and Tripp out there at this point with these injuries, they both flashed very well in preseason, and in game action..

It's about being safe, they cant seem to understand the concept of giving raw athletically gifted players reps and let them acclimate..

 

Basically the Dolphins have no NFL quality LB's available for this game. Wilson will be starting at safety and we aren't sure who will be opposite Grimes at the other CB position.

My prediction Patriots 38 - Fins 13.

 

Wheeler, Sheppard, Trusnik, Tripp, McCain, and Knott. They are all healthy as far as I know. But to start both Sheppard and Trusnik, would be a bad idea coverage wise. You know with Misi out that Coyle is gonna start Trusnik whether we like it or not. Wheeler will start. So maybe this will be the chance to see what Tripp can do. If it were up to me, I'd like to see Jordan, Tripp and McCain get the start at the 3 LB spots. Jordan should be the kind of player for us that Jamie Collins is for the Pats. We'll never know though if he spends most of his snaps at DE.

 

This makes WAY too much sense for Joe Philbin to make it happen.

 

McCain was just ruled out tonight.

 

As far as the game itself goes, I feel like it's going to be ugly. 31-10 Patriots.
