The Brad Smith wildcat is not going to help them prepare for the Ricky and Ronnie Wildcat. Good to see Braylon Edwards hasn't changed. They can count on as many drops as big plays from him.

How many times did you see that last year, and also he waited too long to throw it, and barely got it away while getting popped in the process....that eventually take its toll in the NFL...

 

i still dont understand what all these sports casters see in him... Im just a casual fan and I know he isnt good by just watching a couple of the games hes played.

Point with Alen for just about a year.
He often doesn't step where he's throwing, and he is just as often throwing off his back foot. Its not something new......it just doesn't sell ESPN or NY subscriptions....so nobody talks about it.

 

To be honest, I bet he's too busy worrying about who's going to cover WR's to care. :lol:

 

I would bet money that Rex Ryan wants to get a big play or a TD out of the Wildcat against us in Week 3.

I think it's an objective of his already. To be the first ones to do it. It's just who he is.

They see an AFC Championship Game appearance and conclude that someone must be doing something right.

Sanchez started out alright, fell into a black hole for the second half of the season, and then did damn well against the Bengals in the playoffs. In fact, I'd call it one of the truly great single game performances by a starting QB in the playoffs: 12.13 YPA, 80% completion. He also did very well against the Colts, though not as well as he did against the Bengals.

Just keep in mind that they're praising Sanchez more for what his team accomplished than what Sanchez himself did. Sort of the opposite of Joe Namath: Namath was a mediocre QB who happened to make a timely guarantee at a Super Bowl press conference. He's remembered for that, not any sort of great career.

What boggles my mind is that from someone who is such a "defensive genius" that he doesn't realize our team is practicing against it with arguably the better version of it on offense. Unless me pulls some serious trickery out of his *** I'm not sure what he's hoping to accomplish.
