I had to have a Jets fan that works for me forward me this link. I understand that there are a lot of Jets fans that come to SunLife, but to sell a Jets jersey there just seems plain wrong and should be disallowed. I hate the Jets http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/20/apparently-sun-life-stadium-is-home-of-the-jets/
I'm not sure what store this was looking at the photo, but there are stores in the stadium that sell a wide variety of NFL and MLB stuff during Dolphins season, I know for sure the big one does.
Eh, it's a business in that sense I can understand the merchandising. Their money is just as green as anyone elses'
Yeah, I thought it was common practice for teams to sell opposing teams stuff on gameday? At least the games I've been to out here in CA ,I've seen Miami stuff sold on gamedays.
Well, they've had Jets jersey's in the stadium store before, and as a warning to any Jets fans reading this, becarefull what you purchase there. I've personally blown my nose into the inside of one of them and will do it again. So Mr. Ross, by all means sell there stuff and get your cut!
LOL @ jet fans "Technically" helping pay our free agent contracts by giving our franchise money. We will continue our streak of 3-1 against Rex Ryan, with the help from your fan base!
It's amusing that the Jets fan that forwarded this to me included the phrase, "of course it's our home, we're 4-1 in our last 5 games in Miami. Just a very different perception, we see ourselves as 3-1 vs Ryan and 3-1 in the last 4 games up in New Jersey, And, in my experience, I do not see opponents jerseys sold in the last few NFL games that I've been too.
Wait, does this mean they also accept roadkill and rat pelts as payment at the stadium gift shops now too?
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/20/dolphins-take-down-jets-gear-at-team-store/ Well, there that goes.
really, you seemed to overreact more than anyone on the thread. And the original post wasn't meant to bash Jets fans, it's more of a statement about the fans in Miami. and no, I'm not bashing fans on this site that go to the games, obviously we have lots of hardcore fans. But, our fanbase allowing other teams to come in and populate the stadium on a regular basis is a joke.
It is a tiresome argument, but you do know Miami Florida (South Florida in general) has a gigantic mixed population.....north eastern people, florida people, texas people, ohio people, canadians etc etc. Like me (who moved from south florida to charlotte NC 3 years ago) those people WILL NOT change the team they root for. and good for them. You think panther fans like that I live here and root for the Dolphins? Nope. Do I care? Nope. I'll never change my fanhood, and I dont expect the people that move to beautiful south Florida to either. I cant make it to every dolphin game, you live out of state as well.....nothing we can do.
overreact my ***, if you wanted to bash the front office because of that, then you deserved to be who I was calling out.. The other part of your post I agree with, whatta you think we should do about that?, its not an easy problem to fix when you play in the stadium that we play in.
Give this fanbase a stadium that we could take pride in, and be proud of, and walk in with some confidence that we as fans could make a difference in the game, lil swolled up, and I gurantee you we would diminsh the problem your referring to, greatly.. To bad the suits aren't that smart.
Can Jets fans still pay for concessions and other goods at the stadium with customary New York subway rat pelts?
that's definitely part of it. And to SICK's point, also some truth. I know most of my family tree migrated from New Jersey to Florida, along with many of their friends. I think the other part is having a NFL team in a city that has a lot of distractions for people on the weekends. My theory is cities like San Fran and Miami have the least interesting fans when the team is mediocre, so the fans would rather go do something else like the beach in Miami or hiking or going to Napa in San Fran. Whereas in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Buffalo... what else is there to do on Sunday? Even when your team is bad, football is the most interesting thing in town.
I think you mean the Jest. And I believe you are also referring to the depraved mouth-breathing knuckle scrapers whom deprave, devalue and often vandalize East Rutherford 8 weeks out of the year (not to mention countess number of sports venues and alcohol-serving establishments year-round).
Good thing they didn't sell any Patriots jerseys because I might just have to buy some.... wait what?
Yeah. I don't need any excuse to bash the Jests team, the Jests inbred fans or even any Jet built by McDonnell-Douglas. Fvck 'em all!!!
when I said that I meant the front office, I wonder if people thought I meant excuse for bashing the Jets?.
I guess its become chillier in the winter in Florida if Floridians need firewood that badly? Thats not true. You see my avatar? Guess where that Zach Thomas booger is headed? Yep, on a Jets jersey if I had my way! Ive never seen Dolphins jerseys in the Meadowlands at jet games. Never seen Dallas, Washington or Philly jerseys at Giants games. Dont know why you would cater to the opposition. I dont want their fans coming to our house. They dont like why I go to their house either. Feeling is mutual I guess which is what makes it a good rivalry.
I saw that dj, I was just being a smartass. Next step is removing them from society and limiting the sale of jets memorabilia to the prison system.
I haven't been to that many games but I can tell you that neither Arrowhead nor Kauffman carry opposing team's merchandising in their Pro Shops. K-State is the same way. I guess I can kind of understand why they did it but it's kind of a strange practice from my perspective.
Yeah seriously..... VO why don't you go to the library and look up "cars" and "electronics" to really get your mind blown.....
