The stats for the Steelers' game will show Mendenhall rushing for 100
yards, except one of those rushes was on the 9 yard play where the
officials gave the Steelers an early Christmas present by adding an
extra yard for a gift first down, so in reality Mendenhall only gained
99 yards in the game. Thus an officiating error gives Mendenhall an
unearned 100 yard rushing game, and also erroneously lists the Jets as
allowing a 100 yard rusher for the first time this year.

You would think that your team doesn't have a sexual deviant as your head coach.
This is what you care about?MarinePhinFan likes this. -

And truth be told, I think the Jets are very overrated on defense, but it was a crazy that he was clearly a yard short and they just said "First down!" -
Who would you rather have as a coach? Rex or Fist Pumper? If you say Fist Pumper, you are full of sh*t. -

Uh..again..you are "under" informed. -

Well the video clearly showed that the Dolphins recovered the ball against the Steelers but it didn't matter. So yes, the Jets have given up a 100 yard rusher.
The refs always seem to give the Steelers the calls.Frumundah Finnatic and Fin-Omenal like this. -

The NFL has corrected this stat now.

I know its off topic but this is very true.....the league LOVES Pittsburgh and always has.
Take this week for example, obviously playing on a Thu night is a gift and a curse....on one hand its tough because you have a short week to prepare ecspecially a disadvantage on the road.......on the other hand you get 10 days off wich is like a "mini bye" to rest up and get ready for the stretch.
Well to make it easier on their darlings they spoon feed them a putrid Carolina team at home, then they get some much needed time off. Ironic? Nah.
Trust me this is just one small example of the breaks this franchise gets, we as Phins fans saw one first hand a couple months ago. -

Until today.
Where the eff was our defense? -
Again, this is not the only example of Pitt love, there is a long list going all the way back to the illegal Franco Harris TD, to the SB vs the Seahawks all the way to the Ben fumble at the 1 yd line.
These things are no accident. -
For me I don't think Carolina being as bad as they are was that obvious, though I did expect Chicago to be better. I just have a hard time buying into some of the "NFL loves or hates such-such team" to the point where it affects outcomes. Pittsburgh's QB was suspended four (six was never going happen) games without ever being charged for a crime. Not saying he didn't actually commit the crime (I personally think he's a dirtbag) and I understand you don't have to be charged with a crime, but four games for your star QB without ever being charged of anything? That's pretty big, especially in a sport where there are only 16 games and the playoff race is always close. In those four games they played Atlanta, Tennessee, Tampa Bay, and division rival Baltimore. It's hard to project year to year but aside from Tampa, three of those four teams had high expectations. It worked out for them but their season could have been on life-support very early. Thread derail...
